Cambria 04-29-2005, 08:45 PM How long is the long term deal?
Round 1 04-29-2005, 08:53 PM This deal is for as long as Hopkins keeps fighting.
Truth 04-29-2005, 08:57 PM Which probably won't be much longer, If I was Hopkins I would fight Trinidad and G. Johnson after Taylor and then retire.
borikua 04-29-2005, 08:59 PM Taylor by TKO...
BoxingHound 04-29-2005, 09:44 PM I will have a Little Rock house full of Taylor fans that night to watch. Can't wait!
legend 04-29-2005, 09:49 PM This better be accurate. This whole fight has been a jigsaw puzzle from the very start. It's almost like Hopkins was trying to bluff his way past Taylor through deceptive tactics. If this happens, Taylor is going to maul Hopkins. Taylor is a bigger version of Hopkins, just without the experience.
BoxingHound 04-29-2005, 09:52 PM The local news here in Little Rock said yesterday that it was a done deal, so hopefully they are right. *fingers and toes crossed*
Keleneki 04-29-2005, 10:26 PM Gosh, I hope that match happens. It will be exciting to see if Hopkin's greater experience is enough to fend off the younger, up-and-coming Taylor's assault on his middleweight title.
Round 1 04-29-2005, 10:36 PM Hopkins only has a handfull of fights left, he has to fight top notch opponents on mega fights. He should give Tito a rematch next year and then retire.

If Taylor beats Nard, then we'll see Trinidad vs Taylor instead of Trinidad vs Hopkins II (if Trinidad beats Wright)...
Round 1 04-29-2005, 10:48 PM If B-Hop loses to Taylor, it will be the begining of the end for him.
trevorjulien 04-29-2005, 10:48 PM Hopkins always come to fight. He is always in great shape. never takes anyone lightly..... but Taylor is a beast. Strong and quick
AintGottaClue 04-29-2005, 10:59 PM If Taylor beats Nard, then we'll see Trinidad vs Taylor instead of Trinidad vs Hopkins II (if Trinidad beats Wright)...

trevorjulien 04-29-2005, 11:01 PM I second that .... Taylor by TKO in 6
borikua 04-29-2005, 11:06 PM wow borikua actually said IF!!! tito beats winky!!!!!

ya your right if it were sturm tito woulda lost before he stepped into the ring
borikua 04-29-2005, 11:20 PM Of course Tito would lost b4 stepping to the ring...What would he gain beating that chump...
Round 1 04-30-2005, 10:03 PM I second that .... Taylor by TKO in 6
Could this be the fight where the great champ passes the torch to the young prospect?
B-Hop has 20 title defenses, has never being hurt, layed down the Golden Boy and people are always hoping he gets kayoed.
AintGottaClue 04-30-2005, 10:31 PM Of course Tito would lost b4 stepping to the ring...What would he gain beating that chump...

akins12732 04-30-2005, 11:13 PM damn why couldnt it be in memphis
Silverfox 04-30-2005, 11:20 PM Which probably won't be much longer, If I was Hopkins I would fight Trinidad and G. Johnson after Taylor and then retire.
I don't think that Hopkins will fight anyone after he's bombed out by Taylor!
cupcrazy01 04-30-2005, 11:54 PM Taylor vs. Hopkins...
Can't it be equated somewhat with fights like Tua vs. Lewis, Grant vs. Lewis, Tyson vs. Holyfield, or even Trinidad vs. Hopkins? In all those fights, alot of people thought the harder puncher would be able to KO the boxer/puncher, but it never happened...and I think the only way Taylor wins is if Hopkins shows considerable age. If not, Taylor will crumble like Grant on the big stage, and Hops will have the perfect victory to retire on...
`STEELHEAD 05-01-2005, 01:26 AM i favor taylor over hopkins if taylor can make adjustments round to round. then taylor should take an easy tuneup against any of the easy mandatories before fighting another big money hbo hopkins rematch.after the taylor loss hbo hopkins should fight trinidad if trinidad can get by the crafty leftie winky. im not sold on trinidad. so what if he beat mayorga.hell spinx beat mayorga so what.or hopkins can fullfill his hbo contract by fighting the other weak middleweight belt holders before a trinidad or taylor rematch. as far as i'm concerned tito would have small chance against taylor. more chance against hopkins.
PapiShasho 05-01-2005, 05:02 AM im not sold on trinidad. so what if he beat mayorga.hell spinx beat mayorga so what.
was that mayorga fight the first time you've seen trinidad fight or something? you know he's beaten more people, right?
anyway, taylor can OBVIOUSLY beat hopkins, but i doubt he will...the only way i see him winning is if he realizes that he CAN beat hopkins, and is agressive throughout the whole bout...
just by looking at him i can tell he's intimidated by the whole situation though, and will try to fight pretty and outbox hopkins.
my money's on hopkins to intimidate and beat taylor. hell, if hopkins had any type of power, id say it would be similar to margarito vs. cintron, and taylor will come into the ring terrified and cry like a baby when he loses. :bottle:
shemmue 05-01-2005, 10:19 AM i pick hopkins because of the expirience taylor is young and will feel the presure under the bright lights taylor will be a champion just not while hopkins and tito are around . hopkins will win a ud

sure iv'e seen tito knock the **** out of apponents.but after a 27 month layoff and an easy style wise fight against macho mayorga doesn't prove anything to me. beating winky will convince me . winky could make this fight ugly and boring, jabbing, slipping, running. and triniad may have weight problems. tito being dehydrated or bloatting up after weigh in will play in winky's favor. a trinidad before layoff will TKO wright in middle rounds. taylor over hopkins. hungery, young, speed, heart and intelligently listens to his corner.he could be guided to a victory. all he has to do is fight his fight not hopkins.
Xecutioner 05-03-2005, 05:18 PM do anyone of you hopkins haters want to put down 100 million points on this fight, just lemme know peace
