We have heard all sides, we know the weights. Toney the better boxer, Ruiz the big fat clumsy hugger who wins decs. Is toney? naturally so much better weight doesn`t matter? Are the judges already decided? cough, don cough king cough!?
Cast your verdicts and try to breifly explain why you pick who you do....
I like Toney in this one by mid too late round KO.
Ruiz is going to fight in close as we all know and I have to believe that Toney is by far the best in-fighter that Johnny has ever faced.
James should be able to use subtle movements to get by Ruiz's offense and then land lazor guided left hands to Johnny's nose(I want that ****ing nose broke by the third round). Hopefully Toney has done his homework on JR's body as goes to it often...This fight is most likey going to be ugly but enough body punches and enough counter left hands should sneak thru to eventually break down the mother ****er and eventually lead to the result all real boxing fans are looking for...A ****in KO baby!
But, don't get too excited because good old Don King will have Johnny back in no time on a big fight card fighting for another gay belt or a title eliminator.

If Ruiz loese and if Golota wins, i pick Ruiz to fight Golota again or if Byrd avoids a W Klitscko rematch ( i wouldn`t hold it agaist him if if did, Wlad hasn`t earned it ) then Ruiz Vs Byrd in the snore of the century!

By the way, i predict Toney to out class Ruiz for at least a UD win, a KO or TKO is possible too!

I don't like the fact that Toney ways 233 pounds could be a factor in the fight, but I still think Toney will get a UD.

Toney UD is the right pick...in a perfect, non-political world....
However this is a DK event, and Ruiz is the DK fighter.....
I feel that Toney will dominate the action, win about 8-10 rounds, but Ruiz will get a Split Decision victory, with some ridiculously un-even scorecards....something like 116-112 Toney (accurate), 115-113 (shady) & 117-111 (downright criminal) for Ruiz

John Ruiz by UD. Toney has skills but he is the smaller man and I think that Ruiz will make him fight his fight. Just like he did to Johnson, Holyfield, Oquendo, and Rahman.

I think that this will be a boring fight, ruiz is messy and toney
can get a bit lazy in the odd round.Ruiz is lucky to still be champ
and toney hasnt yet beat a heavyweight contender.everyone seems to think
that toney is going to blitz him ,but i have a feeling that he will
be a big let down.
Ruiz wins on points by about 2 or 3 rounds.imo.

Toney will look good for like 2-3 rounds, then Ruiz will start supprising Toney with the powershot-grab-hold **** and TKO Toney in the 9th or 10th round!
