fights over already, there is no way a 230 pound toney will have the stamina to last against ruiz's hugging and punching attack. i kinda feel bad for toney cause the fight would have been closer if he were 15-20 pounds lighter, that way he could use his speed better but....

Unfortunately Ruiz plays on the ropes as well, he will get you on the ropes hit you a few times and wait for your shots to come in and then grab you and pull you out into the middle and throw a few more and then back on the ropes you go.

That's not a smart idea. The very last few days leading into the fight should only be light training. Going heavy this close to the fight is going to cost Toney precious strength.

Well with Toney weighing six pounds heavier than his heavy weight of 227 lbs vs. Booker. I feel quite confident in the Quiet Man's ability to win this one.

I wish I shared the same confidence as a Ruiz fight is the next closest thing to a nap... But we have been hearing for a while that Toney was coming in heavy, which would suggest a little undertrained, and I am worried that he had trouble bouncing back from his latest surgery...

I just saw the weigh-in on maxboxing.com and they are both fully clothed. Both of them will probably weigh 10 lbs less in just shorts. Apparently the cleavage of Tony wasnt appropriate for TV.

Toney did take his shirt off for the booker weigh-in...It was televised on the Best Damn Sports Show.

Toney should be fine. Of course everyone would like him to be around 225 but he's probably going to fight at the most comfortable weight for him. I don't think it'll make him fade down the stretch or anything. We'll just have to see come fight night and how the first couple rounds play out. I think the early action will dictate how the later rounds turn out. Toney will be a surgeon with that left hook body, left uppercut.

....I am now changing my prediction to a Ruiz victory. Obviously Toney is not serious about winning the heavyweight crown and his act is total BS. How could he come into a heavyweight title fight that fat? Disgracefull. Those two belong in the ring together.

Maybe people will think that it's just a real lousy episode of The Sopranos.

Looking at their weights......this fight has a real shot at being the biggest slob fest in history. Toney, skill-wise, is pure class....but by coming in so freaking fat, he'll nullify his own skills as much as Johnny's incessant grabbing will.

You all may not want to eat too long before this fight.
