So is this late entry to this years fights THE new best candidate for Fight of The Year?

Yes - Barrera Vs Morales III is this years Fight of the Year so far... Still a couple to go before the year ends though.

The action in each round was furious and very VIOLENT. The pace was incredible. Barrera showing he had alot left was shocking. The last two rounds when Barrera was completely exhausted but found the strength to throw bombs anyways were DRAMATIC.

No other FOTY candidate has ALL of these elements.

its gotta be this one imo. pac-marquez was great, but it did'nt carry action to the very end the way barrera-morales 3 did.

I still feel that this fight could not touch the excitment of De La Hoya/Hopkins, but I haven't seen it yet, but Hopkins/De La Hoya was one of the greatest fights I've ever seen..

De La Hoya-Hopkins was more of a chess match, this fight was an all out war. Is DLH-hopkins even a canidate?

Morales/Barrera III was definitely fight of the year. Pacquiao/Marquez held on for awhile but this one blew that fight out of the water.
