The Fix 04-26-2005, 09:48 PM Sturmrules said this nah that wont happen the chargers signed drew bres as there franchise QB. but they dotn need one AJ feely is underrated, the only reason he looked bad is cause they had a bad O-line adn no runnign game so everyoen they played just kept in zone so he couldnt pass. now that the dolphins have the brown ( who is bigger stronger and faster then cadalac) chris chambers and the rest with get some relif cause peeps will have to worry about him, matt roth is a machine that doesnt stop, and crowder was a steal at the 3rd pick he was rated the 2nd best ILB but he can player other postions. look for miami to be a 6-9 win team this year baby. i thought id bring this over here. franchise QB's contracts are only for a year at time, they only re-signed him so they can make a deal to get equal value for him because he was a free agent had they not given him the franchise offer. last year the chargers drafted phillip rivers 4th overall and he will be the starter soon. actually imo aj feely is over rated people think he can be a starter in the leaguee and win but i cant see him being anything other than a backup, dealing for brees would be good for the dolphins if he could repeat waht he did last year. Atwa_66 04-29-2005, 10:45 AM Terrible. My team has and will always be The Oakland Raiders. I had high expectations this year, but nothing came out of it. However, we did acquire Randy Moss in the off season, but we lost Buchananon, but we got 1st and 2nd round draft picks. The Fix 04-29-2005, 01:21 PM Terrible. Bombardier 04-29-2005, 01:57 PM the lions are a playoff team this year on paper. our offense should be insane. QB's going to be a problem still. And injuries might give you trouble (Roy and Rogers both). Still, you'll probably beat my Bears in the standings. I hope Grossman stay healthy all year, IMO he could be a superstar in the league in time. oldgringo 04-29-2005, 02:19 PM QB's going to be a problem still. Harrington had never had ANYONE to throw to in the past...since Rogers has been hurt the last two seasons and Williams was hurt last season. Kevin Jones is going to be a star and we just got a second tier former pro-bowler TE in Pollard. If you look at Harringtons completion numbers every year and his overall passing numbers last year they are pretty good. Our defense will benefit from getting Boss Bailey back too. I'm still not sold on Harrington...stats can lie. He just hasn't been reliable, though maybe since he knows he's on the bubble he'll have the motivation he needs. My wife's from the Detroit area, so I hear all about the Lions. Plus for some reaons they give us Detroit stations on cable in the part of Canada I'm living in, so I see them play all the time. jpboxer3 04-29-2005, 02:30 PM Jags are gonna shine this year with the improved defensive-line and whole new offensive system. If we can get a healthy 16 game season out of Taylor, the sky is the limit. Also, look for Byron Leftwich and Matt Jones to light up opposing secondaries. oldgringo 04-29-2005, 02:37 PM I'm still not sold on Harrington...stats can lie. He's sucked it up in GW situations before and doesn't throw the deep ball very well, but I think he can do enough under Mariuchis coaching to get us to the playoffs. I dont think 10-6 is out of reach. We have a pretty good mix of finesse and toughness on our defense now too so we should be in just about every game we play. His best last-minute drive was when he had the flu, so maybe he just needs to be sick more. It could go either way with him, so it will be interesting to see what happens this year. Grossman has the heart of a great QB, and I'm hoping that he lives up to the promise he showed last year before he went down. oldgringo 04-29-2005, 02:53 PM His best last-minute drive was when he had the flu, so maybe he just needs to be sick more. Grossman has showed some promise and could give them an effort similar to Drew Brees latest in SD. The Fix 04-29-2005, 02:56 PM iil give the lions a couple of years before they go to the playoffs, imo green bay and minnesota are better teams right now. trinidadpr87 04-29-2005, 03:39 PM Doug Flutie has joined the New England Patriots. neils7147933 04-29-2005, 06:47 PM I'm a Colts fan. We should be one of the best teams in the NFL this year. Probably 12-4 or 13-3 and an embarassing loss to New England in the playoffs. neils7147933 04-29-2005, 06:48 PM iil give the lions a couple of years before they go to the playoffs, imo green bay and minnesota are better teams right now. Green Bay lost most of their probowlers. I'm not sure why Favre came back. This team looks like it will have a rebuilding year. I like the Jags too. I had season tickets for their first 4 years when i lived in Jax. My favorite team is and will always be the Giants but the Jags are my second favorite. jpboxer3 05-03-2005, 01:40 AM Bad ass Highlight clip I found of Jags 1st round pick Matt Jones Matt Jones Highlights (http://boss.streamos.com/wmedia/jacksonville/football_features/matt_jones_highlights-high.wvx) DR. The NFL is cool too though. You're a Bulldogs fan right? PBDS 05-04-2005, 10:19 PM .....All I know is that the Cowboys have made about 10 huge positive moves in the offseason and if they are not contenders next year I will be shocked and dismayed. Anybody wanting to make a killing on long odds in Vegas should take a shot at the Boys to come out of the blue and win it all. The Fix 05-05-2005, 04:15 PM Green Bay lost most of their probowlers. I'm not sure why Favre came back. Dr.Depravity 05-05-2005, 11:39 PM The broncos never fail to dissapoint during draft time. Granted they needed a corner, but 3? WTF? and picking up Clarett? Offensive linemen were out running him at the combine! We lost some close games last year. I think we'll be tough this year, but my hopes aren't as high. Lions should be straight titties this year gringo! my brother is a huge Lions fan. Joey's got the arm to get it done. And now with the recieving corp they should be able to move the ball pretty easily. The Fix 05-06-2005, 01:05 AM ...His Dad must be so pissed at him. yeah.... i remember he was pissed when jr would choose a university, he must be super pissed at his son now. he is bringing down the name his father built |
