Dont think so , if hatton avoids gettin cut early he will pressure tyszu with the body shots then eventuly tyzu might go down

could happen

What do you have to do to beat Tszyu? You have to be strong, big, and have a good chin.

Hatton has all of these qualities. Still it might not be enough to win but if I had to pick the prototype for beating Tszyu, Hatton would be it.

Sturm how the hell can you have nearly 2K posts on a boxing website and never seen Ricky HAtton fight?

Spend less time posting and more time watching.

Who has Hatton beat??? I see nothing impressive on his resume!
Anyone you know?

Tszyu's accomplishments:
Sharmba Mitchell (TKO) x2
Jesse James Leija (TKO)
Zab Judah (TKO)
Oktay Urkal (UD)
Julio Cesar Chavez (TKO) <--my favorite
Miguel Angel Gonzalez (TKO)
The list goes on..

Excuse me, but how can you degrade Hatton's resume and yet praise Tszyu for TKO'ing an old-as-phuk Julio Cesar Chavez?

Get outta here.

OscarRules is too busy painting her toenails to ever watch boxing, she's a stay-at-home mom, her boy-toy gives her stuff to talk about on these sites to kill time so she won't go out whorin' around the neighborhood...

Hatton is the illest body-puncher in boxing, but he's never gotten hit by a guy as strong as Kostya, I'm guessing that the crowd at MEN will carry Ricky for 5-6 rounds but he'll begin to crumble when Kostya finds the range

This is gonna be such an AMAZING fight!!!

I've watched loads and loads of fights of both fighters!.. And I still can't pick the winner!

My heart say's Hatton, but my head's leaning towards Tszyu :dunno:

But then again... you gotta ask?... "Has a 35yr old Tszyu got the stamina to stay in there with a hungry young Hatton after 6 rounds???"

- As I reckon that's DEFINATLY Hatton's game plan!!!

Fasinating!!!

Tszyu's stamina won't be an issue. He may be 35, but he hasn't killed himself by fighting too much.
Hatton fans talk as if Ricky is some sort of super-athletic, body punching freak. With his supposed unbelieivable work rate & body shots, why hasn't he stopped every fighter he's ever faced? And therefore, why do you think it will work on a guy 10 times better than anyone he has faced before?

I`m not bigging up Hatton but many great punchers have failed to knock fighters out! Vince Philips didn`t KO all his opponents but managed to KO Tsyzu! Hatton does at times fight to the level of his opponent. He has been bored in the past with fighting foriegn imports and stiffs which has caused him to coast to wide UD wins. Allot of his opponents have fought to survive rather than win, this also negates his KO percentage. Tsyzu will come forward and so will Hatton. I have thought long and hard about this fight and i do think Hatton has chance. It all comes down to Hattons chin. How much can it take. So far so good i guess but Tsyzu is a different league. If hatton can take Tsyzu`s power, i pick Hatton to win.

Tsyzu will come forward...

Not necessarily.

I think Tszyu will beat hatton but he wont be easy knock out because hatton is atough fighter and has good conditioning and I doubt he wants to disapoint all his fans and I hear he has lots of fans. I saw one of his enterace into the ring and everyone went crazy for him. I think it will be a good fight but Tszyu will win for sure. Tszyu's reign will come to an end when he goes up against Jose Luis Castillo.

Oh, and just for the record, at the time when JCC fought Tszyu, he just turned 38..
DLH and Tszyu were the only once to ever KO him.

In my opinion, Warren, Hattons manager has built his hype machine as high as he can and now hes going to go for the big one to see if it is the real thing. Hatton will make great money for the fight, as will Warren, and thats what its about. The money...........

I dont believe that Hatton stands much of a chance at all against Tyszu. Hatton has been handled very delicately by Warren in matching fights and that will be the down fall of it all. Plain and simple Hatton has never been in the ring with anything even closley resembling Tyszu and will give a valiant performance but will come up well short.

But hey, even getting to these kinds of fights is a hard thing to do so I take my hat off to Hatton. And Tyszu will take off Hattons head..........Rockin' :boxing:

yeah TSYZU ONLY weaknesses is that he tends to just bull forward when he is confident........IF HATTON CAN GET PAST THE BEGINING ROUNDS he will have a REALLY GOOD SHOT at dethroning tsyzu......the only problem with hatton is that he comes forward just like tsyzu.......there was this one fight where hatton suffered his first knockdown then he totally changed his strategy.....he would take his time and go in and out so that he would not get hit by the guy.....HATTON has a very good body attack that can slow down anyone....When the fight gets closer Ill be willing to bet on HATTON

hatton has never failed a big test. so for that much, we can trust that he will put a decent effort. as far as who wins? i would say tszyu... tszyu is comfortable fighting forward or backward and does not run from his opponents. tszyu has dangerous power and accuracy while hatton is known for keeping a high work rate. I think both will collide and an early fight will happen. I do pick tszyu to win simply because of his experience against elite opposition

tszyu will win by k.o hatton is good but he has not fought anyone near the level of tszyu hatton has fought weak opposition like most european fighters will not fight outside of europe tszyu should of never acepted fighting hatton in manchester he is the champ he should of made hatton go to the land down under or to the states . either way hatton will get koed in front of his home crowd

I thought your way at first, but now I disagree. What would making Hatton come to Australia have achieved? Tszyu gets home crowd advantage and gets a lot less money. On the flip side, he could go over there, get more money, give up the crowd advantage, but as you say, if he's fighting someone who hasnt left his backyard to fight quality opposition, that shouldnt be a factor.

Plus it has the added sting if he gets the victory, that all Hattons fans have to watch him fall. Its a brave move, I like it, I wish him all the best.

Hatton works the body well. He hits fast and hard combo after combo. And judging by Tzu's midesction he should do just that.

Hatton has an excellent chance in this fight. He is a very busy fighter who will pressure Tszyu and switch from body to head constantly as long as the fight lasts. As someone else mentioned, when he was floored by Eamon Magee he was able to change his strategy mid-fight which suggest he has a good boxing brain, but Magee is a slick southpaw counter-punching machine and his style bears no resemblance to Tszyu's.
I take Hatton to win on points. Tszyu's innactivity will hurt him and I think the Sharmba Mitchell result really flaterred Tszyu as Mitchell was looking past his best in several previous fights (and yes I am aware that Hatton ducked out of fighting Sharmba when the opportunity arose)
