I heard that Vitali has had some injury problems in the run up to this fight, and also told he was floored in sparring, can anyone verify this for me.

BrooklynBomber 11-29-2004, 12:03 PM It was supposed to be a cut on his face. But it's BS. The fight is still happening at Dec 11. tntkid 11-29-2004, 12:56 PM Sounds to me like someone is trying to unsettle Vitali before the fight which can only be a good thing for Danny Williams. Nautilus 11-29-2004, 01:08 PM Sounds very odd. He had injured his fists in the Sanders fight. His fists were very swelled after the fight. Sanders head was made of cement. Flooring is not a big deal. Vitali had been "floored" in Round 1 of Sanders fight, and that had no impact on the outcome of the fight, as we all know. . foremanfan 11-29-2004, 02:12 PM Sounds very odd. I don't remember Vitali getting floored by Sanders. scap 11-29-2004, 02:19 PM if flooring means knocked down he certainly wasn't. A lot of people like to say that he was seriously hurt in the first by a Sanders left but those who think that need to watch the round again, he was buzzed but thats it. Instead of whaling away like Sanders would want he held and was off balance, he is also somewhat unccordinated so it made it look bad. Had VK gone crazy he may have been caught with something really big...he is smarter than most think. BrooklynBomber 11-29-2004, 08:49 PM It was counted as a slip not a Kd. Round was scored 10-9 in favor of Sanders. BTW looks like british fans are trying to create some very unhealthy conspiracy. This is like the third time I read that Vitaly is injured or he had left to Ukraine(from other forum) or some other ****.LOL J ! 11-30-2004, 07:20 AM Well as a british fan ive can comprehensively say this is the first ive heard of it, as for vitali being floored not as a pro he hasnt, he was ko'd by Kickboxer Pele Reid when they fought some time ago and I believe that Maskeav floored him as an amateur on more than one occasion (left hooks) but this was yonks ago and as a pro he has never officially touched canvass in a knockdown capacity as a pro. n14061981 11-30-2004, 11:37 AM This came close to a knockdown check it out Vitali - Troy Roberts 1997 http://www.klichko.com/gallery_video/root/fights/Vitaliy/05_Troy_Roberts/05_Troy_Roberts_round_02.mpg |
