Suicide education might reasonably involve discussion of risk factors. Imagine that you are talking with a group of resident assistants on a college campus. What are the five most important points about suicide risk that you would want to make with them?

In a paragraph, describe a child who would be at great risk for suicide. Be sure to indicate which characteristics make the child at risk.

Alcohol is certainly misused or abused in the U.S. more than any other drug. What about alcohol promotes physical and psychological dependence? What are the long-term problems associated with alcohol abuse? Finally, please describe one widely used form of therapy for those struggling with alcohol abuse.

Please discuss the drug MDMA (Ecstasy). Be sure to include physical and psychological effects, dangers, and probable use patterns in the U.S. in the next few years.

Please choose any two of the views below, and describe how they explain the causes of substance abuse disorders.

My friend Simon doesn't have any real friends. He just posts on the internet all day. He is always talking about "IF he was gone, or IF he died" and he makes threads about this, it is one of his favorite subjects. He also invents alter-egos, like the Dark Warrior and has conversations with him, because no one else will talk to him. When he sits in class he doodles and plays the game "Hangman" except he plays it with himself, and he writes ME over the hangman. The worst part about it is even though he plays with himself he always loses.

I'm sure there's tons of stuff on-line for the MDMA question...I know for sure that there's a few good sites but I can't remember the names right now. Just avoid both the government sites (too reactionary) and the hippie-dippy stuff.
