Who had the best career and why?

Holyfield, and that's because he's made more money than Roy has throughout both of their boxing careers.

Roy Jones Jr. He had the better wins over the bigger names. Holyfield gets too much credit for beating a jaded Tyson. Plus, he lost 2 of the three fights againt Bowe. And got beat by Michael Moorer!! Even though the wheels have fallen off now, i think people will look back more favourably over Roys career.

Holyfield all the way. How many all time great fights has he been in. He's my top fighter of the last ten years.

I'm not so sure... I've always felt that Holyfield should be remembered for his cruiserweight career. In the last 10 years Holyfield has won 8 and lost 7. Defeats to the likes of blown up middleweights like Toney and Byrd, plus defeats at the hands of Ruiz make Holyfield's heavyweight record look less than brilliant. I'm no Roy Jones Jr lover but i just think he has the better record...

He only made more mone because he was a Heavyweight. The general public pretty much only cares about Heavyweights. For the most part I think they will be remembered on the same level. Alot of people thought that Jones was superman and he had big wins over Hopkins and Toney. Alot of people also thought Holfield was some kind of Superman for being that small and banging it out with the real Heavyweights. Not like these fake ones we have today, and he didnt run and tap like Byrd. He stood toe to toe with these bigger and stronger monsters. I also think that Tyson wasnt the same fighter after prison but I also think that Holy wasnt as good as he used to be at the time they faught and I think if they wouldve faught before prison he still wouldve beaten Tyson. He was just the perfect guy for Tyson.

I think that Holyfield had the better career, but in the long run Roy will be remembered as a Much better fighter

I say Roy Jones easily. Holyfield will be best remembered for being KO'd in the ring and suffering a brain haemorrhage whilst fighting some unknown heavyweight in 2005.

I have to say Jones easily. Holyfield was in alot of great fights -and he took alot of punishment - but Jones he was a once in a generation fighter in his ability to fight like no one else (his managment abilities were not up to his boxing though). Like him or hate him he was the best of the last ten years. His fights were one sided - because he outclassed everyone he fought. Holyfield was great because he mixed it up - got rough - take and give epic type battle - definitly fun to watch, but Jones was a MUCH better boxer. We all would have liked to see Jones against more people better oposistion - but when he was in there with good fighters he made them look poor as well.

Holyfield especially money wise.

I go with Jones in this one. 49-3 Beat Hopkins and Toney. Untouchable in his prime. Champion in four diffrent weight divisions.

I will go with Vitali Klitschko, he got fame, he became multi-millionaire, well respected, good family,WBC Heavyweight Champ and all these and more, just in 33!!

Vitali hasen't done much compared to Jones or Holyfield, the biggest thing in his carrer so far is getting beaten by Lewis.

Among the two, I say Holyfield...alltime would be Rocky Marciano I guess...never lost.
