View Full Version : New Nacho Cheese Doritos
Explosivo 04-25-2005, 02:16 PM I just bought a bag of Nacho Cheesier Doritos because it said "New, Better Tasting!" on the bag. I didnt think this would be possible because they were already great, so I had to try these new Doritos. Well, I have to tell you, these Doritos are not better, they are worse that the old ones and I am pissed. Why do you fix something that isnt broke? What was the problem with Nacho Cheesier Doritos the way they were last week? This is like when Coke decided to scrap the original formula and come out with the New Coke. Then Coke found out the hard way that people didnt exactly appreciate them ****ing with the Coke they know and love. And damnit, I dont appreciate having my Doritos ****ed with either. I hope these people at the company wise up and bring back the old Doritos because these new ones suck.
Watch out for these new Doritos!!!

I take snacking very seriously, Boxerdog, and am highly offended by your remarks   .
Seriously, though, no Dorito can touch the Tostitos Quesadilla chips they started making a while back. The Salsa and Cream Cheese flavour is great as well.

Yes, we are digging pretty deep these days, but I am pissed off about these new Doritos. Why would you change those chips? If you were going to change any chip, that would be the wrong one to change. Just doesnt make sense.

Not to make too big a deal about this, but it's typical of the way things work in the corporate world these days. It's not good enough that something is successful...it always has to be better. The thing is that a company cannot just make a successful product and sit back and make money...shareholders expect you to always do something new. Who knows how this philosophy got started, but it doesn't make any sense. I mean, if you found a way to make millions of dollars a year every year, why would you mess with it?
Look at some of the ideas the NFL is coming up with now. This is the only league that has no major problems. The only people that can mess it up is themselves, and that's exactly what they're doing.
Okay, I'll shut up now  .
Boxerdog 04-25-2005, 04:28 PM Good points akchoooly....

True, but how can you possibly sell more Nacho Cheese Doritos? Every party you go to these are on the table. They have to be the most popular chip besides potato. I also think that they are not actually "better", they just say that on the bag. I bet the new recipe is just cheaper, thats why they want to use it. They are trying to brainwash us into thinking its a better flavor when it actually isnt better at all. Its a lot worse. They are just cheaper to make now, so they can squeeze out a little more profit.
