If he's 280lbs he's either;

i) a coach?? If so, he probably will keep it at your pace, so just spar. I'm 150lbs, I would spar a coach who was 240lbs and i'd always lose but he would always lower his game and build it up with me, as I got better he'd put the pressure on more. So I wouldn't worry too much.

OR

ii) he's an amateur who's a beast. If hes 280lbs, fighting fit then you're stupid to spar him. I'm assuming his reach would be much longer and his power much stronger, you'll learn nothing from fighting this guy. He probably likes to spar you because he gets to beat on some kid.

OR (this being what I think is most likely)

iii) he's fat. If that is the case it's easy. Let him take the centre ground and just circle him, jab, jab, jab, jab, jab. NEVER stop moving. If you stop, you're ****ed. He'll be too overweight to dance with you, too fat to mooooove with you. You'll be skipping around the ring hitting him and he wont be able to chase you down, if he does? Just a matter of time til he gets warn out. Never fight him for the centre, he's too big. Never get stuck in corners, you'll get hurt.

Hes not an amateur nor a coach hes just a friend of mines he watches boxing and hes really athletic he doesn't land much because of my defense but, i always have trouble going on the inside when I finally do he just grabs then where back to the start.I land good shots momentarily I pop the jab and move but, after a while I gets boring because i'm not really learning anything and i'm near his height and reach.When I get his stamina to run out I start flushing shots but, because hes older then me weights more and is naturally bigger he gets the best of me because he starts to hit me even harder.His hands and bones are so big so when we spar he has to take it easy on me.When I do begin to beat he starts fighting me more serious he hits me harder he fights faster that now I just stay at a pace during the whole fight.Now he says i'm slow that I have no hand speed or stamina he says all these things since if I were to go fast against him he would just fight me better.So now I just spar using skills I dont use too much power or speed.

I can't wait until my braces come off so that when we box I could fight better with out having to worry about having busted lips.

when i was younger, almost everyone i sparred with was bigger, and stonger. what worked for me was using faints and headmovement. with less experienced guys i could throw a slow jab, wait for a reaction, which was usually an overhand right (orthodox fighters) and right when i saw there elbows move, quick left hook fallowed with a straight right. just keep at man! you'll get to em eventually. good luck.

This is great sparring, since you will be fighting kids that weigh 280 pounds at the amateur level

Throw multipunch combos. It makes it harder to counter. I would also duck under after your last punch.

I'll try that but, the main issue is when I get close he grabs me he hates the Klitschoks because of how he fights and yet he fights like them.

You could get seriously hurt fighting someone twice your weight not to mention the amount of brain damage you'll accumlate. Spar with people more close to your size.
