Would Howard Davis Jr's boxing skills be enough to hold off Alexis Arguello in a lightweight matchup?

Hmmm, I'm surprised they never met. Howard's actually in Florida and amongst other things trains fighters including members of the American Top Team in their boxing techniques. I'm gonna peep his record though over at boxrec and get back.

Btw, No. Arguello would have eaten him alive. He may have stayed on his feet but basically he would have had to run like a mofo imo.

Arguello was bothered by fast boxers....& Davis was a very fast, fluid, & smart fighter.
Arguello was patient, however, & would eventually catch Davis, who's chin was was suspect.
Davis kept his hands low, & I see him catching one of Arguello's long-range bombs after 8-9 rounds. It either ends there, or shortly after.
