Saw it last night; Rampage ain't look good from the bell to me. Don't know if it's a hangover from the Silva beatings, the ribs hampered his performance that much or if Shogun's just that good but Rampage barely resembeled the guy I've seen all these years.

Just a helluva coincidence considering his Jesus fascination and his losses of late.

Didn't notice anyone's remarks of the overall show but did it seem relatively boring to you guys? I'm working this weekend, 12 hr shifts, and I was tired as hell trying to stay awake.

It was a good show for a hard core mma fan. I'm sure all the new TUF fans and saying WTF. Putting Lister vs Arona and Randleman vs Nakamura in the first two fights was a mistake. Stick the grapplers in the middle of the card so you can go make a sammich.

The announcer pissed me off several times. "Why doesn't he just.." or "He should just..." These are some of the best fighters in the world, who the hell is he to talk **** about how they're working? The guy read Bas Rutten's books and now he's an expert. Plus, instead of trying to hype up the fights like he's getting paid to do, he's *****ing because the action was too slow. I will admit to yawning a few times during those first two fights but it's his job to make them sound exciting or explain "the chess match" on the ground.

Time for Jackson to change trainers. He's getting beat by the same style over and over. A few months at Miletich, ATT or Team Quest and he'll be good as new. I'm not sure if his ribs were injured before the fight but he still could use some new blood to train with.

The fighters all seemed out of their games. Hendo looked like he was on one lung as did Igor. Silva wasn't all muscled up like normal. Jackson's punches didnt have anything on them. Something was wrong over there.

Baroni should do well in Pride, the Japanese crowd will love him.

Yoshida could have won that fight. It was close but I think his stalling in the guard hurt him the most. I think the third round pulled it out for Silva, that and being the defending champion.

I think the hype killed it. Plus the first two fights were so boring. I thought Igor's fight was cool watching him trying to sub Kondo but the action wasn't that good. I still think something was wrong, like everyone had food poisoning or something.
