I never thought I would ever think that comparing someone to Ruiz...but Guinn is worse in my view...especially from what I have seen over the past few of his fights

View Full Version : Guinn...a poor man's Ruiz? TyrantT316 04-23-2005, 12:00 AM I never thought I would ever think that comparing someone to Ruiz...but Guinn is worse in my view...especially from what I have seen over the past few of his fights Zab Super Judah 04-23-2005, 12:07 AM no way is guinn a poor man's ruiz RwK 04-23-2005, 12:09 AM Guinn sucks. That was one of the worst performances of all time. He clinches just as much as John.......If not more. Tha Greatest 04-23-2005, 12:17 AM Ruiz is a champion thats why he gets more critisism for the first time i wanna see his next fight lol even though he is the boringest fighter but JT will end him! MWCOFSU 04-23-2005, 12:19 AM at least Ruiz is kind enough to throw a straight right everytime he clinches and hugs. all guinn did most of the time was throw that jab or treat us with a double jab before going in for the hug. terrible performance by guinn. how about Bryd picking Ruiz to win? Zab Super Judah 04-23-2005, 04:26 AM byrd is hoping ruiz wins so he doesnt want to face toney hHAHHAHA joeboxer 04-23-2005, 06:24 AM who did guinn fight? there used to be a lot of buzz on that guy. TheFairPole 04-23-2005, 08:24 AM Man, what happened to Guin? He looked awesome against Duncan Dokiwari! Now he is just sluggish and lazy in there! Truth 04-23-2005, 09:00 AM Guinn used to be a big puncher now he just throws a job ancd clinches. Kid Achilles 04-23-2005, 01:41 PM At this point I'm used to being dissapointed by the heavyweights. AintGottaClue 04-23-2005, 02:01 PM i fell alseep and when i woke up checked what happened he drew with that friday dude lmao;..... abdiel2k3 04-23-2005, 02:36 PM exact same thing i was tellen my dad i was like wtf has he been training with ruiz? becuase of his ****ty ass fight i didnt even watch the other fights on the spanish channel his fight put me in sucha fowl mood i decided i had given up on boxing for the night Tha Greatest 04-23-2005, 03:07 PM To be honest with u....... Ever since I saw that last night... I respect John Ruiz more now hahaha He showed that he clinches more than Ruiz At least Ruiz throws some kind of power shots when he clinches other then that jab Guinn was throwing... but I still want Toney to KO Ruiz Tha Greatest 04-23-2005, 03:10 PM byrd is hoping ruiz wins so he doesnt want to face toney hHAHHAHA actually I think Chris Byrd can give the most trouble to James Toney in the division next to V-Klit... Chris Byrd is a defensive boxer to, and a runner, and JT has lots of problems with defensive boxers... mic573 04-23-2005, 03:14 PM I didn't even bother watching the fight last night but it seems Guinn's lack of activity cost him another fight. The Troll 04-23-2005, 03:49 PM I dont think Guinn is that similar to Ruiz, but he no doubt is not that great of a fighter. His punch output sucks, he has a decent jab but does not know how apparently to follow punches up from behind the jab, the guy is done as serious contender probably, having a draw last night to the Nigerian Golden Gloves Champ. NiGe2011 04-25-2005, 12:51 AM Ruiz and Guinn are both a little boring to watch at times, but to Ruiz's credit- he is boring to watch but the guy wins fights! Guinn just does not punch and really just seems content to lose. He has a flaw that is much more serious then a lack of talent and that is the lack of heart and desire. Guinn is going to be making ZERO noise in the heavyweight division. |
