That is the best I've seen Wlad look in a long time. The only thing that causes me some concern is an excessive 160 pounds or so behind him ...in the form of a "past his usefullness" Manny Stewart. I had really hoped that he would have been let go from the brother's team by now.
Still believe that he had more to do with Wlad's last loss than the opponent.
You HAVE to monitor your fighter's stamina and advise him when to quit throwing bombs!

Didn't Manny do just that in that fight? Didn't he tell Wlad he needed to slow down. I'm pretty sure he did but who knows. In any case, Wlad had fought at that pace before and was fine. Look at the Mercer and McCline fights.

I don't remember him saying anything like that during the Brewster fight, but I do remember him saying something along those lines after the 4th round of the TOS fight, which is what you may be thinking of.

Vlad can pace himself, or go full-blast...
Vlad can throw rights, or throw lefts....
Vlad can try every trick in the book....

but he'll never have a chiny chin chin, and if this Castillo character is willing and able, he'll destroy Vladimir in less than 6 rounds

wlad doesnt have a real stam prob at all he went 12 with byrd and 10 with mccline. he did run out of gas agaisnt ross but that was in the 11 round. how can u say wlad ran out of gas in 4 agaisnt brewster when he went 11 with ross?

Ross Purritty can't punch, he had to wait until Vlad's gas tank was on "E" until he could fire back.....Brewster CAN punch, so he only needed Vlad's tank to be 3/4 empty before dropping him like a sack of potatoes

You are right, Wlad didnt run out of gas, IMO. I hold to the theory that there were outside influences that did not want him to win. There was simply too much money to be made if Brewster were to win, and so King, or the Mob, or possibly both, made sure that he did. Simple as that. And if people dont believe that things like that happen in the world of pro boxing, where judges decisions are bought and sold all the time and referees are paid to be biased (we've all see this), then they are truly ignorant.

Wlad looks lean, which is a good thing in my opinion. He will finally have a fluidity that he needs. BTW his built lookslike his brothers in Williams/Sanders fights. I hope thats a good sign

Do we have the tape yet. Interested to know Castillo's reach. Probably a long way short of Vlad's chin.

Were you this passionate about boxing corruption before your man got his ass handed to him? I not trying to start something here, I'm just trying to put some perspective on the issue.

I figure the whole conspiracy thing can pretty much be put to bed if Castillo beats Vlad ala Brewster. If the pre-Sanders Vlad takes care of business, there could be something to the "Vlad didn't run of out gas" theory.

Haven't seen it yet, but here's their last fights. Wlad doesn't have much of a reach advantage.

Damn, you're right Neuraxis he doesn't. He's still a few inches taller though. His jab is still hard enough to discourage most from rushing in, this might be pretty good lol

....With Castillo's weight down as well it looks like he plans to run from Wlad and hope he collapses from exhaustion. I bet he runs just like Williamson did and makes Wlad chase him all night long.

how is castillo's chin? he ever been dropped or has his chin at least been tested?

i think if he has a solid chin he can finish wlad in the mid to late rounds. wlad has become kinda like tyson, if you can hold on you have a great chance of beating him late

You might be right, but god I hope not lol

I hope he at least tries to fight, that TOS fight stunk!

I don't know but he better keep it tucked like Brewster did, because if Wlad hits it with any kind of a punch....

I think that he was KD'd twice in his draw with Aziz. Like people have been saying, Castillo will probably fight like TOS except Castillo seems to be better suited to boxing like that.

i can't wait to see this fight i think Vlad has all the potential in the world. I think he should get back with Freddie Roach who can finely tune him to his full potential, as Manny Stewart seems to be trying to turn him into Lennox Lewis
