Can't listen to the first vid but i know both songs. P.M is sick but pun was better. IMO the greatest flow ever and one of the greatest lyricist ever

Honestly i tried to vote for both Pharoahe Monch and Big Pun...I decided to go with Monch because he has more material not that thats puns fault...or maybe he is, maybe he shoulda not ate at KFC so much. Great thread though, as a duo I also think Po and Monch were better. They were more balanced, where as big Pun was clearly superior to Fat Joe although Fat Joe was nice back then. I love Fat Joe from the 90's and even early to mid 2000's.

this was a game, you now, i was simply asking who in your opinion has the best flow and wordplay on this two songs, i love pun, hate that the mofo killed himself, but i rate Monch 1st followed by Poetry, and then Pun, just on this songs.

i heard some story told by Prodigy, he basically said pun would order buckets of kfc, and when joe and others went out pun would try to rush the poor kfc before joe and the other fat mofos came. i guess pun felt P's skinny ass was no threat to his KFC. HA!

There versus were ill no doubt. But pun just sounds more fluent i think. They both sounded alot like kane imo po and monch
I said Gza is the greatest lyricist. Pun is one of the greatest.ONE of them not the best.

imo, Monch's verse is Greatness, there is no pun verse that comes close, but you can prove me wrong.

damn! in my opinion Kool G. Rap smashes on Pun, and R.A. is up there with him.

yeah that rugged man verse was Hip-Hop quotable on the Source, that pun verse is dope, when talking wordplay and skills, pun kills everyone there, including canibus, but still the rugged man come of nastier than pun on his verse, (like you said about pun), R.A. is more fluent.

we are comparing wordplay and flows not carriers, and you also have to remember pun wasn't as nice on his last years as he was when he started out, i think just like nas, jay, rakim he would probably decline.

i cant go against that bro. Most mc's do decline after time. But we will never know. But i just prefer pun overall
