no its just i been isolated in the 8th grade and i broke my ankle. i was in a cast for like 2 months no one came to visit me so i guess thats what got me to be more quiet. Iam starting to get back to normal thou. I have to say those 2months where probally the worst this whole year

Don't let it get to ya. My family was poor (farmers), though I didn't know it at that young age. For birthdays, my grandmother would cook our favorite meal, bake us a cake (or pie...custard was my favorite) and maybe make some ice cream that evening, since all our birthdays were in warmer weather. Hell, I got my first job "working out" (that's what we called it then, when you took a job away from the farm) at age 9, pumping gas at a filling station a couple of miles from home for 50 cents an hour. I turned out OK. I sure as hell know the value of a dollar now, and I don't spend what I don't have. I also know how to do damned near anything. You could drop me off in the jungle with a spoon and a piece of string for a month, and when you come back to pick me up, I'll have a 3 bed, 2 bath townhouse built, and will most likely be selling fresh fruit and assorted cheeses to the natives at very competetive prices :)

Yes, of course there was TV, but we didn't have one until I was 11. Like I said, we were poor. I lived with my grandparents most of the time, until I was in my teens, except for brief stints when my worthless tramp of a mother, and my stepfather, were together for more than a few months at a time. That's partly why I'm such a big boxing fan. During those times I stayed with my mother and stepfather, my stepfather watched every fight that was televised, with his cronies. And since I was always completely fascinated by television, and boxing was the most popular TV event at the house, I became quite a fan, even at a young age.

Also, don't get the idea that just because we were poor that we were always hungry, dirty, or that sort of thing. We were clean (as clean as you can keep young kids on a farm, anyway) well fed and happy kids, we just didn't have many clothes, toys, etc. that weren't homemade. Being raised by my grandparents, who grew up without electricity and most other modern conveniences, gave me the advantage of knowing how to make do with very little, and taught me that money and "stuff" don't deserve a very high place on my list of necessities.[EDIT] It also gave me a sense of morality that, sadly, seems almost completely lacking in people these days, my age or younger.
