Hey, do you guys like any artist who is considered sissy or uncool? Perhaps some lame thing that has bubblegum written all over it? I listen to different styles of music because since I am a guitar player, I like to get different influences but still, I am mainly a Rocker. Well, back to the main point. What strawberry artist do you like? I must say that mine is the group, Menudo. The classic 80's versions. What about you?

I enjoy listening to Queen once in a while. I guess their lead singer is a little fruity.

Yes, Mercury was gay but still, Queen does not qualify as bubblegum. Actually they were pretty heavy sometimes.

I don't really have any fruity music that I listen to, or a band, I should say. But I do like that song Mad World, by Gary Jules (I know he didn't make it, but he covered it for Donny Darko).

How about Air Supply? Bee Gees?

I am very eclectic so I have an incoherent music collection. I could listen To Menudo, then listen to Sepultura, and finish with some Jazz by Jaco Pastorius. Listening to unusual music if you wanna put it like that is normal to me.

Always liked alot of Queen's stuff. They were far superior, technically, to any other group of the time. Everything was put together perfectly. Still a fan, personally.

How about Air Supply? Bee Gees?

Air Supply sucks hard but I love the early Bee Gee's stuff. Some outstanding three part harmony. I tired quickly of the "Saturday Night Fever" stuff because I was playing 6 nights a week at the time and HAD to play and sing all of that falsetto crap!
On the other hand, a chick singer we used and I did a cover of "Islands In The Stream" which they wrote for Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. I still think that song kicks.....We used to "kill" with it live!

One of my favorite bands of all time is Cinderella! I know they are known for their Ballads but they really rock hard. In 1994 they came out with a great album that knowbody ever heard cause of the grunge scene. It was called Still Climbing. They are just awesome live as well. They sound better then the C.D.

Another band that I love but have taken a lot of **** for liking is The Darkness. Their C.D. really rocks if you give it a listen. Seen them live 2 times as well and they were really good.

I too like all kinds of music, some I enjoy that people may find a little less manly:

Tevin Campbell
Brian McNight
Jackson Browne
Journey
Freddie Fender
Kenny G

I dont know why. Thats ****ing gay as hell.

I like way too many La Bouche songs...
Mr. Vain
Rhythm is a Dancer
Sweet Dreams

Actually I'm not sure if any of those or "Be My Lover" was originally La Bouche or not. All those techno-ish groups seem to basically do all the same songs. I know there are at least 3 versions of Rhythm is a Dancer. And Mr. Vain I think.

I already admitted to other gay **** I liked on another post, but okay I'll repeat.

Madonna music
Michael Jackson
Bananarama
Alphaville - "Big In Japan"
some Bonnie Tyler
Something by this gospel singer woman. It's called "I'm Getting Ready" I mainly like the tune, cause I think I can sample it and make it a good rap beat.

The Karate Kid soundtracks are great. Communter, Peter Cetera from Chicago...that song that goes "like a knight in shining armor, from a long time ago..."

I probably should've added some of my other "favorites", just to stir this up a little:

Benny Goodman
Henry Mancini
Tommy Dorsey
Artie Shaw
Sarah McLachlan
Scorpions
AC/DC

[EDIT]
forgot to add the Andrew Sisters.

To name a few

Also:
Berlioz (If you've never listened to Synmphony Fantastique you haven't yet lived)
Bach
Paganini

Scorpions and AC/DC are far from bubblegum. They are kickass bands and you should be proud if you like them. I have never listened to Henry "Boom Boom" Mancini but his relative Ray, is one of my favorite boxers ever. Paganini's 24th Caprice is one of my favorite Classical songs ever! Beethoven became even more important to me after I saw, A Clockwork Orange.

I like Mozart more because of his life story than his music. Guy was a genius, so was Beethoven, but not like Mozart. That guy was f'n amazing. Beethoven was actually famous in his lifetime, unlike Mozart who was only halfway famous at best. Beethoven was the equivalent to a rockstar back then. Mozart was just basically a Patron's piano boy.

Never heard Mancini? Sure you have, you just didn't know who it was :D

The theme to The Pink Panther is Mancini.

Also, one of the best "feel good" tunes ever is "Sing, Sing, Sing, with Swing" performed by Benny Goodman. If you don't feel like dancing in your seat when you hear that, you're a corpse.

Naw, I haven't heard him since I was a teenager. I've never liked that many male vocalists. A few, sure, but mostly I like female vocalists. Natalie Cole, the afore-mentioned Sarah McLachlan, and others. Sarah and Natalie, though, have voices borrowed from angels :)

I don't think I have ever heard a more impressive performance than Emotions by Mariah Carey. Only an Opera singer can do better.
