I've never seen Skelton fight but I hear hes a rough customer who can bang as well,plus hes undefeated, but hes old. We all know what Williams can do, and thats why Im askin you guys who have seen Skelton fight, who do you think will win this one?

I've seen about 7 or 8 Skelton fights, he's a real rough customer and likes a brawl. He's a little bit "huggy" but he's hungry... And he just keeps coming forward brawling!

The problem Danny Williams may have is trying to keep him off him. If this fight took place a year ago I would have said Danny Williams by UD, but I just wonder how much the Vitali beating has taken out of him?

This will be an interesting fight, I reckon Skelton will win it by very late stoppage.

i will go for williams by UD, skelton is tough and can punch, but he's not as good a boxer as williams, i think experience will count for a lot as well, which also favors williams, should be a good fight though

I know that it's been in the discussion stages for the Tszyu-Hatton undercard, but hadn't heard that it was official yet.
Hopefully that's so.

If it does infact come off then I'm going to go with Skelton in what will probably be seen as a bit of an upset.
While I realize that with respect to actual learned skills & boxing experience, that Danny is head & shoulders above the still raw Skelton, I think other factors will dictate beyond those. Namely Skelton's unbeaten confidence coming in & Williams' post-Klitschko mental, emotional & physical state. Which I do NOT expect to be particularly good.
Danny has never been the most stable & focused of fighters under the best of circumstances ( the Tyson anomally not withstanding... ), but coming off of the horrific & complete beating that he suffered for 8 long rounds against Klitschko, I just can't see him being "all there". That sort of a defeat is of the sort that ruins careers.
And, if my instincts are correct then that's just what that KO by Vitali has done.
Who knows, I may be proven wrong & Williams will have learned something about himself during the long dark hours after that loss & will come back mentally focused, emotionally strong & physically prepared to take care of business & fight his way back to the top. With the domestic showdown against Skelton the first rung on that ladder.
But, I just don't see it going that way.
I see Skelton coming out & taking control of a unsure, unsteady Williams & forcing a stoppage in about 4 rounds.

Well, despite the upcoming beauty competition between warrior Spirit and Anorak this thrend has a good boxing topic. Williams Vs Skelton is a good fight. A seasoned pro against an up and comer. Who wins? Well, Danny does have the experience, better boxing ability and heart too. Skelton has power, hunger and a determination to come forward like no one else. Logic says a hard fight but Williams pulls it out by UD.
I don`t think so though. I see this fight much like the Samil Sam fight for Williams. Early one, say the first 5 rounds even exchanges but as the fight moves later i feel Skelton`s pressure will make the difference. He seems to want it more and i think this is a hard first fight back for Danny considering he`s just fought for the world title!
