This fight would be Toney/Jirov'ish but Winky doesn't have the power to crack Oumas chin at any point. I think Winky would be the favorite but I'd favor Ouma on his workrate and in-fighting. Those uppercuts on the inside really cut up his opponents.

Winky would beat him.
I want to see how Ouma looks in his next fight.

I think Ouma might be able to out hustle Winky and pull out a close decision.

Yes, everything OG said. And I would like to add that Ouma's footwork is far superior to Winky's. Wright may be the seasoned fighter, but he is nowhere near as hungry as Ouma would be entering this fight. There is always the chance of collisions between the two being southpaws and all, these dirty type tactics favor the more rugged Ouma.

If you had to compare the two fighter's attributes. I would have to say Ouma does everything better than Winky. He has every advantage, other than maybe height, reach, and experience. Kassim Ouma is at a whole new level of a fighter, and will eventually show this come fight time with anybody.

Those "uppercuts on the inside" may arguably be some of the best weapons in boxing. He also flies under the radar as far as counterpunching goes, because of his lack of devistating punching power. He would overwhelm Wright none the less.

Wright's defense and jab are superior. I'd also say he has a better, more accurate right hand when he decides to use it or counter. Their chins are similar enough.

I give Ouma just about everything else. Better footwork moving in and out...better in close quarters...higher workrate...better stamina etc etc. The only fighter who is going to command Ouma's respect and beat him is a fighter with sharp power and skills to accompany that power. Ouma gets hit often enough so someone who can counter his succession of punches and do it often enough so that it turns Ouma off from his normal gameplan should beat him. Prime example being if Ouma went up to 160 and fought any of those big three (Taylor, Trinidad, Hopkins). They would all break him down late in the fight.

I realize Trinidad is technical enough to do so, but do you think he hits as hard as Kofi Jantuah? Someone who could end the fight when he gets someone hurt? Because Trinidad would have to actually land flush shots in succession on Kassim, and that would be difficult to say the least. IMO, he would have to wrap his hands again in order to gain any respect late.

Not only does Trinidad hit harder than Jantuah...he throws punches correctly and he throws them STRAIGHT, as opposed to Jantuahs looping haymakers. Jantuah really got propelled into the spotlight because he landed that monsterous hook (somewhat lucky IMO) on Rubio. I don't think he would have duplicated that effort should they fight again. Anyway, yeah I'd say that Trinidad is world's ahead of Jantuah as far as skill goes and he can blast you out with either hand in any round. Jantuah laid some good leather on Ouma and Ouma ate those punches, but he wouldn't be able to smother and come through as many punches as Trinidad would have in store for him. I think Trinidad would end a fight with Ouma in the mid-late rounds.

Ouma outworks Wright to a decision victory. I've been a fan of Ouma for a long time now and I have always and still believe he will be king at 154.

How do you beat a guy who throws nonstop leather and has a diamond chin?

That would be really hard as hell to do. Augustin Silva must have been eating his wheaties or something. I cant believe he knocked Ouma down 3 times, and then finished him off. What the hell. This is boxing, and I suppose crazier things have happened.

Right now, Ouma is as unbeatable a fighter as you will find in professional boxing IMO. Right next to Jose Luis Castillo as two of the best, and most underrated fighters in the sport.

I guess: you can try and outbox him. Wait a minute.

NOPE

Ouma was stopped on the three knockdown rule. He may have been stopped anyway because I don't know if he was badly hurt.

ouma was caught with a punch when he wasn't looking.......he was waving at his girlfriend or something vs silva......thats what I read.......so he was knocked down when he was not ready and that was the reason for him being stunned so badly

I think Ouma would win. I agree that he is one of the most underrated fighters around. If he had a bit more power, along with his amazing life story, he could be one of the biggest attractions in boxing.
