i would like to know why? i know this is a very important fight... but there are people out there, like me, who will watch this fight for some reasons different from others.

i would love to see this fight, because i want to see mayweather lose --- badly!

If Mayweather loses, I don't expect it to be badly......it'll be by a late KO, after he dominated the majority of the fight. That's never what I'd call losing badly.

I'm still having trouble making a pick on this fight, though. I truly believe Mayweather could outbox Gatto for 12 rounds any day of the week, but then again, something tells me that Mayweather may have become arrogant enough that he may not train as hard as he should've. If that's the case, a late round KO by Gatti could become a near certainty.

Gatti is just such a likable fighter that even though you know he's gonna lose, you're still gonna root for him.

i agree with this. i want him to lose, whether it be gatti or some other fighter.

but it may not mean that i hate maywheather, but somehow someday this guy has to lose. his arrogance is annoying.

Trust me Mayweather knows what he is doing. Don't believe the talk he is going to train hard because this is the fight he has wanted to help advance his career. The two main guys that has always came out of Mayweather's mouth are Delahoya and Gatti because he knows with them comes superstar status and money.

it's his underdog status that's making him a lovable fighter. he never backs out against anyone

Wow, I could not agree more. Gatti is such a warrior, that it is hard no too root for him. I know Mayweather will crush him, but I'm hoping Gatti can pull a Holyfield-Tyson 1 type of upset. Fight a perfect fight and stop Floyd.

I believe if Gatti really puts the pressure on PBF he can cause Floyd to slip up, or try to land some big shots on him to slow him down, and Floyd could hurt his hands, or get caught. This is a big IF, as it seems that fighters a lot of the time have a habit of not realizing that 12 rounds is not all the time in the world, and fighting a more relaxed fight than they should. If Gatti sits and waits for his big shot early on, I think he'll lose big, because Floyd will still have the gas to run and box in the late part of the fight. IMO, it's very important that Gatti start very quickly, run the **** out of Floyd and go to the body every time he gets close if he's going to have any chance. That's still a big IF though, we'll just have to see how it plays out, and yes, I'm going to be rooting for Gatti lol

I don't care who wins, just hope that nothin like a butt opens a cut that influence the fight. I don't know how much Gatti's got left but the drama that may be expected should be along the lines of him absorbing tons of punches while boring in on Floyd and trying to KO him.

I'm lookin forward to seein it, at any rate.

I want to see Mayweather destroy Gatti, and that is what I will see, if Gatti shows up. My official prediction is still that the fight doesn't happen on June 25th b/c of Gatti. He'll have a fake injury.

Mayweather is my 3rd favorite fighter. Gatti is one of my most hated. Gatti is a disgrace and I can't wait to see him get beat. Losing is not really a possibility for Floyd in this match. I mean, sure, it is, it always is, but Floyd is ready for anything Gatti can bring. Should look like a mismatch.

I'm watching it for the same reason many people are watching. We hope to see Gatti do the "unpossible"...lol. Can he stop Floyd? Yes, he can. Will he stop Floyd? We'll see. The only suspense in this fight is seeing if Floyd can avoid the big punch for 12 rounds.

I think if Gatti uses the punch and grab technique he could wear Floyd down with his size and get him tired enough to bang with him. Now that would be very interesting. I hope McGirt is smart enough to be considering this option.

For me, the outcome doesnt matter. What matters is that both fighters have styles that will belnd together beautifully for a fast paced action packed fight.

This is a joke? Mayweather has conquered MUCH better fighters (and harder hitting I might add) then Arturo Gatti. Gatti can take Floyd's shots better then Floyd can take his?!? Are you kidding me? Gatti has been dropped and beaten by the likes of Mickey Ward and Ivan Robinson. Where as Floyd has beaten pound for pounders like Jose Luis Castillo and Diego Corrales! All this talk about the undertalented and overhyped Gatti as having a chance reminds me of the push that was made before the De La Hoya/Hopkins bout when those selling the PPV were trying to convince the boxing public that De La Hoya stood a chance. The funny part is that Oscar probably had a hell of a better chance against Hopkins then Gatti does against Floyd. Gatti is famous for getting beat up, Floyd is famous for beating people up! Do the math people, it is not hard to see what the script for this one is gonna be! Gatti better take a page out of his early career (and Cotto's present) and come in for this fight about twenty pounds heavier because that is the only chance he has of avoiding a coma!

Punch for punch, Gatti takes PFB's punches better than Floyd takes Gatti's. The landing rate on Floyd's face is a joke compared to Gatti's. But no, his chances are slim.

If Gatti does anything but lose by KO I will donate every single point I have to you Mooks. This is not even a bet as I want nothing in return (as nobody in their right mind would bet against this), I am merely displaying how confident I am, and every living person should be, about this fights outcome. So let it be known:

IF GATTI DOES ANYTHING BUT GET KO'ED BY FLOYD (THIS INCLUDES LOSING A DECISION) I WILL GIVE EVERY POINT I HAVE TO MOOKS!

I'd say Mayweather has a 97.3% chance of winning this fight. But I think it will be very entertaining. I think Mayweather will get in close and trade a bit, just to prove he can, which will generate some excitement from the crowd. I'm hoping this will turn out to be one of the better fights of the year, even though the outcome seems pretty damned obvious. I like all kinds of fights - brawling or chess-match or whatever. I'm hoping this fight will have a bit of both.

I think the real question about this fight is will Floyd finally become the PPV attraction and headliner that his talent suggests he should be? And even more importantly will he step up the competition after this? It seems like he is trying to hang on to this undefeated record but great fights earn you more respect from the boxing community then a zero next to your wins.
