View Full Version : Only 12 days left of the James Toney Hype
Colonel Jones 04-18-2005, 11:29 PM Only 12 days left of james toney being hyped as a great 'heavyweight'. After a mediocre John Ruiz knocks this overrated bull**** crap fighter around, we will no longer have to listen to all the cheap talk from him or his fans. This guy winning the Heavyweight championship is as about as good for boxing as Elton John winning a tough man competition. Anyone who thinks he is a legitimate heavyweight needs their head examed. Klitscko would put his head somewhere around the 7th row. At least Ruiz has no power, so Toney can at least hope for a bad decision. Either way, Toney is a sideshow.

lol.
The day before the fight, I will bet you every point I have Toney beats Ruiz.
Interested?
-GBGQ- 04-18-2005, 11:38 PM I don't have too many points but yeah. I'm interested.
By the way, I think your name is hilarious. What fight was that again? I remember Lampley re-iterating it, "A Big Bozo No-No."
Konstantin 04-18-2005, 11:40 PM It was Zab Judah vs Kostya Tzsyu where Zab thought he stopped it prematurely despite humiliating himself by doing a chicken dance for the audience.
-GBGQ- 04-18-2005, 11:44 PM Naw, that picture was of the Zab/Kosta fight.
But I thought the actual phrase, "a big bozo no-no" was from a different fight. I could be wrong but I can't remember which it was.
Bozo_no no 04-18-2005, 11:47 PM It was something Nadey said that's always cracked me up.
I think it was in the 2nd Forrest Mayorga fight.
-GBGQ- 04-18-2005, 11:59 PM Oh yeah, It was def a Nady saying. It might have been Mayorga/Forrest 2. I'm going to check it out when I get home just so I can hear, "That's a big bozo no-no". lol lol
i probably shouldn'tt be laughing this much at this. lol

make it 100 million bro. I'll back you up :)
Cortez 04-19-2005, 07:24 AM To say toney is unskilled and "crap" shows ignorance.
He is by far the most skilled HW today, that does not mean he will win, but skill will not be the reason as to why.
Vitali would beat him on size and if Ruiz wins it will be due to wrestling, Nady needs to ref all Ruiz's fights.
SnoopySmurf 04-19-2005, 08:56 AM Well, as the saying goes "A big good fighter will beat a good little fighter everytime!" But Ruiz isn't really that good.
If there's a sideshow to boxing, it would be Ruiz. That Punch n' Hug style shows zero skill. He barely beat an aging Holyfield. Got a gift decision against Golota. In fact, in the Golota fight, when Ruiz tried to box - got knocked down! BWAHA!
AintGottaClue 04-19-2005, 11:31 AM Gooooooo John Freaking Ruiz Hug That Fat Ass Like A Teddy Bear

I doubt it.....James will make Ruiz look like a jouneyman in my opinion.
lennon 04-19-2005, 12:08 PM danny williams will beat toney if toney gets past ruiz. rahman could still fight toney since vitali is not fighting till september
Warrior Spirit 04-19-2005, 12:17 PM Why do some of you talk of things you know nothing about? I can accept the fact that some of you homos want that god-awful most boring fighter ever, John Ruiz to win, or even give legit reasons for him to win.
But when you say somthing so blantanly stupid as James Toney is not skilled, etc. You really show how much you know about boxing.
Yeah James has a big mouth but he is also an alltime great with mad skills, and if you ever been in a ring or weren't a complete dip**** you would realize this.
Muhammad Ali also had a big mouth.

No doubt, I think he'll smash up Johnny Louise worse than Roy did....this truly is a mismatch, I can't see any scenario where Ruiz could win, aside from another Don King robbery at the Garden
Cambria 04-19-2005, 03:08 PM Hopefully Toney will take care of Ruiz. We need some action in the HW
By the way hello everyone I am new!
