By Bob Caico
The medical advisory board in Las Vegas has just voted unanimously to uphold the suspension of heavyweight Baby Joe Mesi. A hearing with the NSAC will follow, but the commissioners most likely will follow the medical board's recommendation.

Its looks worse and worse for Mesi...
....I would say that they are probably making the right decision and he probably shouldn't be getting back into a boxing ring. He can hang his hat on being a top rated undefeated heavyweight, even though we all know that records can be deceiving. He should take his show to hollywood and try his hand at a little acting. He seems like a real likable young guy and it would be a shame to see him get hurt badly or even killed in the ring.
SacTown1 04-18-2005, 10:34 PM Neither guy has any other feasible options, so the fight HAS to go down, you know Bernard's not gonna give up a belt in court so he'll have to fight Taylor (he's the #1 IBF contender) to keep the undisputed title together

taylor isnt number 1 anywhere. wbc is tito and so is wba i think, ibf is solimon, and wbo is sturm.
xrhythmxnxbluesx 04-18-2005, 10:38 PM i think taylor and sturm should fight to whomever fights hopkins... than whoever wins therre deserves to fight bhop...
AintGottaClue 04-18-2005, 10:43 PM i think taylor and sturm should fight to whomever fights hopkins... than whoever wins therre deserves to fight bhop...
i dotn think B-hop has the time to wait, hell i think he only has 1 more fight left

Great Stuff with the Mac Dre quote, I'm on his Treal TV DVD at one of his parties....
but I must disagree, Sturm hasn't done anything to deserve an eliminator fight, and Taylor's the only guy with enough potential to dethrone The Executioner, Sturm is feather-fisted and guys with no power have no chance vs. a guy as tough and skilled as Hopkins
Soundtraveler 04-18-2005, 11:41 PM I am told now that the fight will be held out west instead of in Memphis, which is a bummer, as I was looking forward to working it! But oh well, at least I will be working the Tarver vs Johnson rematch!
xrhythmxnxbluesx 04-19-2005, 01:46 AM hope its in the staple center so i can juss drive down therre... its 6 hours away but i'll go.. and sactown... thats tiote you was on mac dre's dvd.. unfortunate of what happen to him mann... rip.. thizz or die forever...
joeboxer 04-19-2005, 03:20 AM I could soon become Officaly sick of this ****.
Exciterx24 04-19-2005, 03:25 AM Hopkins should win by UD but in a tough, close fight. I hope he does not retire so Trinidad fights him again.
Super_Lightweight 04-19-2005, 10:50 AM I hope this fight goes down. It was my prediction that it would go down and then all kinds of chaos ensued.
If it does not go down, it's going to look like Greg Leon trying to save face for Bernard Hopkins. Truth be told the people do not need any more evidence that Leon is all up in Hopkins' Bisquick.
Truth 04-19-2005, 11:05 AM I am getting tired of these fights being scheduled one minute and then off the next. A fight should not be confirmed unless the fighters have definitley signed the contracts.
TyrantT316 04-19-2005, 11:18 AM this is one of those fights where I won't believe it until the weigh in or fight night...

Who else getting tired of hopkins and the contract disputes, isn't that why he got with De la hoya? I'm starting to think that hopkins is due for an ass whoppin...
