It looks like this fight could be in the works due to Klits injury. I don`t think its such a bad thing though. Barrett is good and Rahman is inconsistant, great pairing. Who do you think would win this affair?
I have a feeling Barrett might want it more and box to a close UD!
Any opinions?

It definitely would make for an entertaining fight. I say Rahman by 8th round tko.

Not so. Barrett is the type that does nothing great but everything ok. Rahman has skills but only uses them in the big fights.
If Rahman is dis - hearted because he has to face this guy not Klit then he might be lackluster, i.e the fights with Ruiz and Tua. This is even money depending on what form the fighters are on!

At least Barrett has been beating better opponents recently than Rahman has. God forbid that Rahman may actually have to beat a top 10 heavyweight in order to fight for a title.

No ****ing kidding. He went the distance with a nobody just a year ago and barely pulled it out. Everybody talks about his power but a yr ago everyone was saying he was done.

Barrent is decent, but not a threat to the heavyweight division or Hasim Rahman.

The same Al "Ice" Cole who Sultan Ibragimov KO'd in 3 in Cole's next fight.

.....Yeah, Rahman would have his hands more than full against Barrett and I wouldn't be surprised to see it go either way.

Barrett is over rated, he is a so-so guy who has been beating up on untested prospects (Mesi, Guinn, and Beck are his last three fights for god's sake). Rahman is not that. Barrett's chin is always there for the taking and the Rock would... well.... take it. Rahman will KO him without having to break a sweat if this fight goes off.

I would pick Rahman to overpower Barrett in a mid-late round KO/TKO.

I don't why some of you are so down on the Rock. He was beating Tua in both fights, the first fight was a bull**** stoppage, and the second one he got robbed. He was beating Maskaev, until he got caught. He beat Lewis, something Vitali couldn't do. He wasn't the same Rahman that fought Lewis in the rematch or Ruiz, or Holyfield, he looked like **** cause his mind wasn't right. To be honest, I've only seen the real Rock in his last fight, in-shape, using his jab, and being agressive.

Don't sleep on the rock.

I agree, I also believe Hasim Rahman is the more powerful puncher and the better boxer.

Because he has been down in two fights, and came back to win one of those fights in many peoples' opinion? Barrett is probably over rated, but then again Rahman is much more overrated than Barrett. At least Barrett hasn't struggled recently with boxers like Al Cole.

My feelings exactly, I'm probably the only guy here who would claim that Rahman is extremely UNDER-rated (he KNOCKED OUT LENNOX, not exactly a small feat), and that Barrett has been way over-rated for years now....

Rahman by KO, whenever he feels like it

You shouldn't even talk, being a Wlad fan. Rahman beat Sanders, and Sanders wiped the floor with Wladdy. Wladdy also lost to Lamon "Punch me till you KO yourself" Brewster.

Don't even talk, cause Wlad's losses are ****ing pathetic.

What does Wlad have to do with this? At least Wlad as poorly as he has looked recently has beaten a legit top 15 heavyweight in the past year. Rahman hasn't done that since 2001. And yes Rahman did all of that stuff in the past. He beat Sanders in 2000, while he was behind by 3 points on my scorecard. What was Wlad doing in 2000? Hmmm he beat Byrd and Barrett. After getting destroyed by Lewis, Rahman lost to a shot Holyfield and Ruiz, and he struggled with Cole.
