MAB is like Jason,he just wont stay dead, lol. I knew the fight would be close if it went the distance because these two have fought 24rds against each other and I knew it would never be lopsided as people would have thought even after MABs loss to Pacman. El Terrible did his talking before the fight with the Chicken stunt and Barrera made him pay dearly.Gotta love it.

P4P,tough luck with Morales.Barrera wins again! :D

Please. You talk as if this guy is done. He's only like 28, and this is only the second loss of his career. And on top of that, both losses came against the same guy. Furthermore, he probably could have won tonight had he not come in so heavy. Don't plan on writing him off any time soon.

damn, i knew that Morales couldn't beat MAB, but at this stage of MAB's career i thought he would only be able to pull off a draw, plus the odds where like 16/1 so i jumped on it

This was obviously not the best performace of Morales' career. But don't try to pretend that Morales is through now. Cuz that kind of a thought will come back and bite you in the ass. He's still a pound for pounder.

...And does MAB want to fight Pac after the result of their first fight?

I don't see him backing down to Pac though - he's a true champ - but who else is there?

sorry for the confusion but i was only referring about this fight. el terible is a great fighter and like any great fighter it just takes one convincing win to get back on track.

what do you guys think is the best option for morales now?

CLubberLang
11-28-2004, 01:28 AM
I was not sure if MAB would win and I kind of did not want him to win cause I wanted Manny to destroy Morales like he did MAB. I always thought Morales was overrated from the aspect that I would not buy his PPV's unless he fought someone good and I wouldn't even watch his fights on HBO unless the other fighter was good. To me they hype him up to much and he does not look dominating or devastating in most of his fights. I am glad that MAB won though because now I think it will bring a rematch with Pacman by popular demand. I think JMM vs. Pac will be boring as JMM will be scary and just try to counter and run or hold all night. I still believe Pac will K.O. MAB again but I still think it will be closer than a JMM rematch.

it depends on whether he decides to stay at 130 or go back to 126 as he indicated earlier. but it looks like he is a force to reckon with at 130 and he proved that tonight.

i don't like morales for disrespecting mab and those bull****s that he has said about him. i've always thought that mab can beat erik and that he even won the first fight by a slim margin. i do believe that pacman has mab's number and will win the rematch by either ko or tko. i also see pacman beating jmm in the rematch and that it won't go to the distance like what happened in may. i just hope that pac-mab 2 will push through this year!!!

yeah, i'm also happy that the loudmouth and dirty nedal hussein lost to chololo larios. he and his team always used the "in his own backyard" excuse to discredit pacman. the fact is -- he was behind in all scorecards because manny beat him bad. he even resorted to headbutts and low blows out of desparation. now the world knows who the better fighter is.

he prolly totally dismissed mab and thought that no way mab will win against him. that's what he got for looking ahead of this fight. there's no doubt that his loss derailed his mega-buck fight with the winner of pac-jmm rematch!

this is a good schedule and hope that this will happen, but somewhere after that I love to see PAC-EM fight...

with that performance and two convincing wins by MAB, I am sure he is back in 4p4 list, no way he should not be included in this list, beating the main man of the small guys P4P...

but at what number would he be in, any ideas????

wissy

Down here in Australia is was 3-1 and 15-2 for a mab decision. Australian bookies give very low odds on favourites and high on underdogs.

PacKillsMorales
11-28-2004, 08:43 AM
we knew someone would win this fight so neither fighter
should be labelled as shot.
morales will bounce back and barreras right back in
the mix and should end his career with some more
big fights.

maybe we could have barrera - morales 4 and if
morales wins 5 too :D

if pac does fight jmm lets all hope he wins
because jmm is gonna make all his big
fights very boring

i think that both of these guys have changed as fighters since they last met. what kills me is how everyone discredits barrera after pac-man dismantled him. i bet this fight is going to suprise alot of people. mab is only 2 years older than erik. 30 years is not that old. what makes him older is the amount of that time spent in the ring. half of his life as a pro! morales is no newbie himself. he's going on 12 years pro. so really i don't see where, in any of the aspects, mab is really that much older that it makes a difference.

Yeah, I too hope Pac-man wins over JMM. Barrerra-Pacman II will be the most explosive fight of all time!!!!!

i would rather see a pac-mab rematch after the jmm-pac fight too. one thing you have to remember about mab is that he doesn't care who his mandatories are. he fights who he wants even if it means giving up belts. i think jmm will beat the pac-man. to me it doesn't really matter actually.....they are all goin to be very exciting fights. everyone is going to base thier opinion of jmm on his last outing. thats b.s. jmm can be axciting. just look at the jmm-pac fight. you people on this site crack me up pretending to know soo much about all these guys. to all the mab haters out there all i have to say is i told you so.

MAB has defied all logic! Most people has dismissed him as a "has-been", especially after that devastating loss to Pac-man. But he proved them all wrong. He's back! That's good news to us boxing nuts out there and to the boxing sport in general. Now we have MAB-Pacman II to look forward to! This division is getting more and more exciting and thrilling!

Morales did have a bad night against MAB, i don't even think it was the weight. in all the clips i've seen of the fight( haven't seen the full deal yet, will be watching it this sat ) Morales looks like he's lunging in at Barrera and not using his height effectively. Morales is jumping into range of Barrera when MAB already has his feet planted and is ready 2 punch, and unloads a combination onto an off balance Morales.
