I mean the entire wardrobe...

I'm guessing I'm one of the cheapest and possibly worst dressed posters on this site...

From your haircut to your earrings to your makeup to your shirt, socks, pants, shoes, even your cologne or perfume -

when you go out, how much money are you wearing?

I don't mean to a formal gathering. I mean, a typical night out, like I know some of you go out to bars. Some of you go clubbing. Some of us go to the truck stop for a beef manhattan and an overweight lot lizard...

I'm usually wearing $100 or less - anyone else that cheap?

Blood_Child

Haha when I go to Taco Bell I'm usually wearing less than $40.

Never thought about it though it's an interessting question.

Haircut - about 50€
Chain (occasionally) - ca. 250€
Shoes - 300€
Pents - at least 100€
Shirt - everything from 30-150€
Belt - 50€
Socks - 10€
deo, shampoo etc. - maybe 3€
Coat or jacket or whatever the right word is - either 200 or about 600€
Wallet - 20€
Cigarette Etui- 30€
Lighter - 12€
Boxershotrs - 20€

that'd be a total of 1075€ (or 1.388,58$) if I'd wear the "cheaper" variation. It's gotta be said that I'm a little vashion victim. I love to wear D&G and italian shoes. Maybe I should sell some of that stuff cause I'm really anything but a rich guy.

i got u all beat, as a true member of the grunge generation i buy almost all my clothes at the salvation army and it's a rare day indeed when i'm wearing more than $30 or $40 dollars worth of clothing ( the irony is i look good ). i have a cheap watch, but i didn't pay for it, it was given to me, it's very special but i doubt it cost more than $20 when it was new

It's possible I have a knack for european designers as they suit me better and I have a pair of loafers that were $329.99

It all depends on the styles you like really...I spend more in the winter than I do in the summer because I like the khaki shorts and polo shirt look especially since I golf a lot it is comfortable on the course. But in the winter I like a nice pair of jeans or slacks with a nice button up shirt and loafers.

Depending on your style and location they can be expensive.

I like them a lot, I had wore them last year when I went up to Sandusky Ohio for a week and they were nice especially since we was on a boat a lot.

I would like to find a pair like those that are golf shoes to use on the course but no luck yet....

I will be visiting the Big city shortly, I am visiting quite a few schools in New York as that is where I hope to transfer to and hoping to stop by and see a boxing card as well.

Yeah shoes are my thing. Mostly Itaian brands that you will not see in many stores. I've gotten very good deals, but that was not the topic of the thread it was just the dollar value. In turn I've paid a lot for good shoes before.

I got a pair of Pignataro shoes that ran me for $400. But those ****ers are nice looking and they feel ike a million bucks. Bally's makes a good loafer to hang in an everyday thing.

Uhm, some mates of mine do. It's really not that difficult to spent over $500 for shoes if you live in a city and have a lil above average taste. I've seen people spending over $5,000 for a suit.

I get most of my Armani from online dealers. Cheaper and faster. I get magazines sent to my house all the time. The place that has some downlow bargains on expensive gear is Century 21 in the city, Downtown Manhattan. I never bother with the one in Brooklyn.

Casual

Shoes: Nautica loafers (like boat shoes)
Shorts and Pants: Levis only
Shirts: I usually wear Boss button ups, or Tommy Shirts
Boxers: Hanes (im a cheapskate)
Socks: Dont wear them

Work

Sometimes I wear my Brooksease (always 3-button) I paid dearly for that mufugga.

One of my 2 DKNY mens suits, or my navy blue Calvin Klein with different colored poplin tops.

Gucci shoes.

Tally it all up> And I would like to forget the price of everything.

Over 20g's for everything, and it is no problem. Ever since I quit drinking and using. Money seems to not be tight anymore.

I've thought about making the jump from Manhattan to Brooklyn about how far is it though?

I am still looking, got any good recommendations for business preferably inside Manhattan with housing available?????

BrooklynBomber
04-18-2005, 09:47 PM
if you wonna go business you should go to Baruch. its a CUNY but a very good one. It provides housing and has a very reasonable tuition. Also if your grades are really good you might want to try NYU. Now this school is something. If you want to go to college to party hard and meet hot chicks than its either Brooklyn college or Kingsborough(weak college but hot chicks are everywhere)

spinksjinx
04-18-2005, 10:38 PM
Not much of the partying type and I doubt I would get into NYU in High School I was a slacker and got the wild side out of me and had a very low gpa (like 2.6) but at Kent I am currently carrying a 4.0...But that damn high school GPA haunts me!

I dont want to be staying in the ghetto which is why I am looking for a school in Manhattan.

Well count Baruch out...Minimum high school gpa of 3.0

BrooklynBomber
04-18-2005, 10:50 PM
hey spinks from my experience if you have a good gpa in college (and 4.0 is ****ing massive) nobody cares about your high school grades. Trust me guys with a GED went to Kingsborough for a year,
had a decent gpa and went to hunter(medschool) or baruch so its worth a try. I mean i am in Baruch right now and i was not the best student in HS. In fact only my SAT grades got me a place in my college.

spinksjinx
04-18-2005, 10:58 PM
I have checked into numerous schools and they said if you got an associate degree you wouldnt have to worry about gpas or act/sat scores...Perhaps I should look into that.

How is Baruch though?
