And I'm in complete agreement with you on that! ;)
Absolutely the only difference I see the gloves making is Pac being put out around the 6th. I like him, but I see limitations when he fights, and Erik really showed everyone just how limited he can be when faced with a true technician (especially on with decent power), and even though Pac may have learned a thing or two when it comes to dealing with Erik, he isnt the only one that learned. I'm sure that Erik would NOT go lefty in any of the final rounds like he did in the 12th and that one advantage would be mute from the start. He is brave, but not stupid!
man, youve got me all excited at just the prospect of a rematch with Reyes...see how much I blabbed on just that one question! :o

and hes hitten pac just as much if not more
joeboxer 04-17-2005, 03:03 PM its not so much about the gloves as about the cut. if pac didn't get cut i think he could have made it a tough desicion.

It was a close fight but Terrible ****in' Morales won it 115-113 on my card, as well as the official ones.

THis is true..when he wasnt slipping around the way they both were, he wasnt doing too shabby as a lefty! Watching all that in the replay is more enjoyable cause I knew it was gonna be ok....but he has to keep in mind that Pac is a natural left hander, and if he had pulled that off earlier in the fight who knows how it would have gone. By the 12th pac was battered, bruised and very tired, so that had to have some effect atleast. I just prefer Erik to do his thing in the right hand stance! :D He does do it quite well after all.

Same score I had there E! ;) Close, but with a clear (and I mean CLEAR) winner, which was definately Erik Morales! Far too many die hard Pac fans that I've known for mo's all feel the very same way; that Pac just wasnt the better fighter that night. To hear it from them is pure gospel to me!

serioulsy
as much as i enjoyed it
it was heart pounding
but like i said
i just dont think Erik got enough credit that last round
as much as pac "rocked" erik with his left
erik did the same with his lead right hand

It is something to admire since Pacquiao fans are some of the most obssesed nowadays.

THis is true, although I did give the 12th rd. to Pac on my little ole card anyway, but stil had Erik winning 115-112! I really do hope they do it again! :D I'll pay that ppv any day of the year and not ***** a bit!

Very admirable! some of them really blew me away...I was expecting the same old tired excuses from most of them, but they surprised me (my buds anyway) and admit that Erik was the better fighter that time around!
mic573 04-17-2005, 05:41 PM Unless Pacquiao makes good improvements I say Morales again. Pacquiao didn't make any kind of improvements from the Marquez fight.

Round 1 04-17-2005, 08:28 PM Does this fight merits a direct rematch?
It did not end in contoversy, a clear UD for Morales.
Morales is going up in weight and Pacquiao needs a good tune-up fight to regain any lost confidence.
If a rematch materializes the result would be the same.

I dont understand how the Pac die hards think that this would only benefit Pac. Erik would KO Pac certainly.

lol if the rematch happened i will put all my point on Pac again :D
chito 04-17-2005, 10:28 PM Maybe pac would still lost if they meet again but certainly not on KO. Pacman has proven he could take a punch and he was so quick--he succeeded in avoiding erik's hard punches. Pac definitely would fight a lot better next time because he's fresher! He could have rallied in the later rounds and maybe he might have earned a draw if not for that cut he suffered in the 5th round. There's a lot of if's and but's and this only mean one thing and to resolve all these theories and questions in our minds...that we need to see them again! I hope they fight again because a good fight deserves another!
