Couture got knocked out. Pretty clean shots, although Liddel thumbed him in the eye just before the stoppage.

I saw the fight and was not surprised by the outcome. I thought that in a striking war, Lidell was gonna be a beast for Couture. I thought Couture was going to get a dominating, yet, monotone decision but I bet some points on Lidell. First, Lidell was circling away from Couture and countering. At one point Couture tried some dirty boxing but nothing solid landed. Then came the accidental finger in the eye. After the doctor checked him, Couture said he wanted to continue. They got into a little exchange and Lidell stunned Couture. Some seconds later, he landed a flush right on Couture's jaw that put an end to the old man's impressive run at light heavyweight.

Just saw the fight, and damn, I was kind of disappointed. There weren't a lot of action. They were too cautious of each other. And then when Couture was backing Liddell with lounging punches, Liddell countered him with a solid right hand to the jaw. Couture was OUT and I mean OUT!
