The lightheavyweight title fight and main event of the night finally begins after BJM issues his standard phrase. The fighters touch gloves and Randy begins moving forward and stalking Chuck again. Chuck backing up and circling. Randy comes forward and lands an uppercut. Chuck lands a leg kick and Randy lands a straight right. Chuck lands a right hand partially and continues to circle. Randy coming forward and backing Chuck up. Randy misses with a left hook but lands a right hand afterwords and Chuck misses. Randy comes forward again and lands a nice jab. Randy lands a big right hand, a left hook, and clinches with Chuck. BJM runs in and momentarily stops the fight after Randy was visibly blinking. On the replay, it appeared Chuck rubbed his glove in Randy's eye.

After the restart, Randy comes out again and lands a right hand of his own. Randy lands a right and left hook again, but chuck lands a counter right hand that drops Randy. Liddell follows Couture down and begins hitting him and BJM runs in and stops the fight.

As much as I love Randy that thumb didn't change the outcome. He got rocked then started swinging and then got dropped. Chuck won fair and square.

Besides Randy got thumbed in the right eye and Chuck nailed him both times with hard rights. Even if Randy's vision was affected it was on the other side. No, as much as I love Couture Chuck won that fight. Anyone here will tell you what a nuthugger I am for guys like Couture and Hughes too.

I gotta hand it to Chuck, even though I think he's a ****ing scumbag, he won fair and square. I do think they need to tape his thumbs down though, not sayin that's what won him the fight, just seems like he cant have a fight without poking someone in the eye....

I would like to see a re-match with Jackson though. A heard rumors that Chuck was hurt during that fight and I never put much stock in them. I just thought Jackson was better. However after seeing Chuck in his last 3 fights, maybe he was hurt.

I don't think Chuck's a scumbag at all. I think he and Couture are both good champs (well, Couture WAS :D). I think Chuck's a smart guy, I like his work ethic, and I like how he doesn't duck anyone.

As for the thumbs, well... I need to see the video for myself. Even though I WANTED Chuck to win, I still picked Couture because it seemed like he was too clear a favourite. I'm glad people are saying that regardless of any thumb action, Chuck won because he nailed Couture hard on the button.

So now they're 1-1. Think Dana White will push for Liddell-Couture 3 to settle it all?

Yeah, but it'll be a while, the bad thing is, with Tito and Belfort gone, they are the only 2 big names in the UFC LHW devision.....
