I think De La Hoya has slowed down more than Tito has. De La Hoya does not move anything like he used to and he has lost alot of handspeed, he is older, and the moving up and down in weight classes is taking a toll on him. He has not looked good in his last 2 fights against Strum. Face it, he lost to Sturm but got a gift descision, and he he got KO'd by Hopkins. De La Hoya has lost a lot since 1999, I dont think he is gonna be around much longer, he is well passed his prime.

If he moves down to 147, Oscar will likely beat anyone there. He's too big, and I dont think he is that far past his prime.

The speed is still there and the power will still be there once he goes down to lower weight classes. You're talking past his prime like he's Bowe-like.

Look at De La Hoya's record since 1999 when he lost the SD to Trinidad. Since fighting Trinidad in 1999, De La Hoya is 5-4. 2 losses to Mosely, once to Sturm, once to Hopkins. Before 1999 when he fought Trinidad he was undefeated and was thought kind of unstoppable, he is similar to Tyson in alot of ways, he deteriorated alot after loosing that first fight to Trinidad.

Alot of guys are past their prime at 32 particularly it seems guys that have so much success at young ages such as Bowe and Tyson. They have alraedy been to the top, made the money etc..

It is the question, but you have it backwards, De La Hoya has deteriorated since 1999 much more than Tito has. This is judging by their most recent fights. Like I said since 99 De La Hoya is 5-4

I obviously wouln't since Like I said De La Hoya has deteriorated far more than Tito since 99, so being past his prime would be no excuse for Tito in my mind, De La Hoya could use it as a legit excuse though IMO.

i agree with u 100% Oscar in my opinion is almost finished, i dont know how good he can be at welterweight, but at J. middleweight and middleweight (where hes been the last few years) hes done

What do you want people to say? If he loses, he loses, whatesle do you want?
Trinidad beat Oscar, than he lost to Hopkins, nothing more, and if he loses to Oscar next year, legitly, it'll be end of story, or rematch.
