I just printed out 50 but got them from Showtime....all I do is enlarge it and 'erase' the names, etc..for future use. Works for me anyway :o And yes I'll be posting mine ;) Going with Morales by UD!

Colonel Jones 11-27-2004, 10:05 PM Morales stops him in 9
tracylee 11-28-2004, 11:58 AM So I'm gonna be the first one to post the opposite of what I predicted?? :o Okay, laugh if you want, but I gave it a draw, but if Kenny Bayless had taken the pts for the fouls he should have taken, then we've got a different outcome! (speaking of which, I lost ALL respect for Barrera with the way he behaved and cant believe Im saying this, but I hope Manny picks him apart in their rematch!!
Morales Rd's: 2,7,8,9,11 and 12
Jerk of the night: the rest of them! :( 114-114
And somebody shoot Larry Merchant for his blind worshipping of Barrera and disrespect of Morales.
Exciterx24 11-28-2004, 01:09 PM Barrera 115-113. I can't mention the rounds because I was scoring it mentally and now don't remember exactly about the rounds.
twospeed99 11-28-2004, 01:22 PM Barrera's face wouldn't of looked out of place at a black tie dinner while Morales's looked like the first course after it was tenderized.Morales got beat good and showed his lack of respect for fighters, fans, and the sport itself in the end, no class.Bayless let them fight.
chilly9876 11-28-2004, 01:31 PM i think you guys musta had some real bias commentating, because i had it a draw,so did most of the people in the u.k..and the judges werent far off either

sure..let him FOUL all night long, and if he get's hurt permanently who cares??? I mean, it's not like we may wanna watch him fight again in the future, right? Jones showed the same lack of respect, and I dont remember anybody saying anything even remotely like that.

So did I, and the commentating was disgusting, as usual. ALL Barrera...everything he did was the best they had ever seen, while Erik looked terrible. Even when he dominated they did their level best to take away from it somehow. And Merchant showed the same outrageous bias towards Barrera he showed in their first 2 fights! I can see the decision going to Barrea by a pt. or two, but he didnt in any way beat Morales badly, or school him like they said.

I didn't see the fight. Had a date with the little woman. But I knew Barrera would win. It's just too much of a power advantage, especially with the extra weight.

Are you cool with me, 115-113?
chilly9876 11-28-2004, 01:42 PM i could have given it to morales by a point or a draw,no way in my eyes did barerra win..
mic573 11-28-2004, 01:43 PM I had Barrera winning 116-112 but I think the second round could of went to Morales and that would make it 115-113. The first six rounds were all Barrera in my opinion. He made Morales miss or blocked most of his punches while hitting Morales at will. The second half was closer. You all act like Barrera blatantly fouled all night. I saw two Blatant fouls which I don't condone but alot of the low blows that were called were borderline shots. If anybody deserves the poor sportsmanship award it should be Morales for the way he acted after the fight. Barrera is clearly the better fighter of the two. I had him winning the first fight 115-112, the second fight 115-113 and the third 116-112 but like I said the 2nd round could of went to Morales.
tracylee 11-28-2004, 01:43 PM Are you cool with me, 115-113?
Absolutely....more than cool! ;) Like I said, I can easily see giving it to him by a pt or two (which you did) and if he hadnt been such a dick I may have too. So, I guess I may have been a little bias myself, but I gave Erik any round that I possibly could and see feel fair about it. He just made me so mad. I've respected him so much for so long and to see that respect just slipping away really pissed me off. But yes, that score is more than adaquate/accurate....considering that one judge had it a draw too I guess it just depends on what you were looking for in general. I'm glad one of them did give it a draw if only so I dont question myself too much :o

Y know, I'd be damned if I'd shake his hand after the fight either if he had hit me behind the head like that, and hit me after the bell more than once. So, I give credit to Morales for NOT shaking his hand. For the record, he did foul more than twice

In that type of fight you got to expect some fouls and like I said I don't condone hitting behind the head. Both fought after the bell it wasn't just Barrera. Everyone said before the fight that Barrera had to go to war and bring the old Barrera back and when he does he loses respect from people. Morales is just a sore loser who wasn't ready to fight the type of fight he needed to in order to win.

Ok, I'm supposed to expect fouls in 'that type of fight' but you call him a sore loser for not shaking hands after 'that type of fight'? How does that work? They hate each other and never made any secret of it. Why should he be able to foul, not get any pt's deducted for it (which would have changed the outcome) and yet Erik's supposed to shake his hand?
I honestly did not see Morales hit after the bell...that is the truth. If he did (you say so, fine, I believe you) but I would appreciate it if you could tell me what round so I could go back and see it for myself ;) Maybe if I see that I can salvage some of the respect for Barrera I've had for years. So that would come in handy if you could tell me what round he supposedly did this please.

Tracy, baby, I understand your point. Hitting behind the head is not good and could be very dangerous(G. McCllelan) but I don't think it was deliberately. It was more of a heat of the moment thing. Also, they hate each other and everyone knew there were going to be fireworks last night. Last but not least, I did not like it when Barrera slipped and Morales was about to jump on him to score a bogus knockdown and did not like when Morales acted the way he did at the end. Ok, if you you don't want to shake hands but if he did it would have shown enormous class, even if he was being a hypocrite.
marvdave 11-28-2004, 01:58 PM I had it 115-113 MAB. Thought it could have been more in favor of MAB. I do agree the HBO crew did there usual ass-kissing to the house guy.
I just felt MAB was the aggressor, landed more shots and looked in control (ring generalship)

Okay, not deliberate? He held him and hit him fast and furious like 4 or 5 times and didnt stop til the ref made him...cant get much more deliberate than that.
And, do you remember their first fight (or maybe the 2nd) when Erik thought he heard the bell when instead it was the 10
sec. warning? Remember what Barrera did? He took full advantage of that and attacked him! And, how many times did the ref get onto Barrera for leaning on the back of Eriks neck?? Far as I know, that is one thing that causes slips and bogus knockdowns are given for that all the time. Everybody does that but Erik's not allowed?? Barrera tried to do it all night long, or was he just 'resting' on Morales' neck??
I remember once when Barrea lost his footing a bit and Erik stood back (he considered attacking) and let him regain his balance, which I thought was stupid considering how he fouled him all night.
tracylee 11-28-2004, 02:19 PM And good karma to Chilly, Exciter and Mic for debating with me. ;) None of my friends like boxing, so this is where I come to discuss it! :)

I don't get it. Last night I saw an experienced and aging champion, who's commited half of his life for the sport fight with dignity an pride and overcame all odds when no one gave him a chance. I have N-O-T-H-I-N-G negative to say about Barrera. All this time, Morales has been flapping his mouth while MAB humbly remained focused and determined. That fight last night impressed me. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I'm a fan of Erik's skills but that look of dismay on his face when they announced Barrera's name was priceless. Morales showed no class. From prefight to postfight, he was tasteless and disrespectfull. I'm glad someone put a beating on his ego.

I've always felt like Morales was the humble one and Barrera the arrogant but this time, from the start, it was the other way.

and youre quoting me because?? I never said he didnt look awesome Mooks..he did. Hell, he fought with an intensity and determination I havent seen him possess in a long time. For that I give him loads of credit. It was the fouls I didnt care for. Ok? I shouldnt be surprised you quoted me, should I?

Barrera did what he had to do, if he'd lost that fight his career was over. the old Barrera came back to show us all he's not done, he overcame tremendous odds like m00ks says.

Fouls. i'm NOT SUGGESTING ANYONE COMMIT FOULS WHEN I SAY THIS, but think the fouls were part of Barrera's plan to make sure Morales never got comfortable, to keep him from focusing on the fight.

lol Don't think i'm picking on you Tarce I can never seem to agree but i guess thats the whay it is. I just found it wired how anyone had anything negative to say about last night. And that's why I quoted you. The fouls are expected. There is never a clean war.

vandaNEXTlegend 11-28-2004, 06:30 PM Alright Tracy let me be blunt...Quit being a ***** and admit Morales got his ass kicked. The comentators were favoring Morales until Barrera unleashed his awesome offensive strike. One hit behind the head isn't going to matter. Did you see McClellen *****ing about the 50 different times Benn hit him behind the head? No! 116-112 BARRERA.

ONE hit my ass. Stating an opinion on a forum is not being a *****. If me being one however is bugging you in any way , even remotely, then that's just an added bonus and trust me, when I'm REALLY being a *****, you'll have no doubt.
bigdlb12 11-28-2004, 08:01 PM 115-113 Barrera, good fight, MAB was on the top of his game that night

I THINK you were -5, while I was -6, but it was fun. Wanna do it again? If so, private mess. and we can go up in pt's too if you want ;)
bigdlb12 11-29-2004, 12:51 PM yeah lets do it,that was close
urdaddyinAZ 11-29-2004, 12:51 PM I was neutral going into this fight, and although I can understand your frustration Tracy.......Barrera DID NOT fight a dirty fight. He fought with passion and Morales did not and that was the difference.
Now to the scoring....I had it 115-113 Barrera. This makes the fight sound way closer than it really was for the following reasons:
1) When Barrera won a round it was by a huge margin, he dominated almost every round he won on my card.
2) When Morales won a round it was narrowly for the most part (with exception of a couple in the middle rounds).
3) Compubox stats show Barrera outlanding Morales by a pretty large margin.
4) Barrera controlled the tempo of the fight.
5) Barrera landed the harder more damaging blows over the course of the full fight.
The way boxing is scored is there for a reason, and because of this scoring system the fight was much closer than I really saw it. Morales was thoroughly beaten and think he knows that. To blame the hitting behind the head....low blows...etc for him losing is insane. He should blame that uppercut that broke his nose and threw him completely off for the first 6 rounds.

Thats cool...everybody has different opinions, I just seem to be alone in mine which is okay and not really new to me (well, I was gonna use a 'winking smiley', but for some reason certain posts wont let me; it does what it use to do when it threw me to the bottom of the screen!!)
