Lets look at this logically. In Greens favour is the great performance RJJ put on against somewhat limited Jeff Lacy very recently. True Roy is 40, but Green isn't a spring chicken at 34 either. Green WOULDN'T beat Roy at his prime, but Green isn't as crap as the lords of toss on the "aussie" forum suggest. I think considering Roy looked sharp and rejuvenated against JL and then was caught by improved, heavier Green, the least one could say, without being wankers, is that Green is "decent". Unfortunately, in my experience in the recent weeks, complete morons like you Brently wouldn't even give Green this small grace and hence, set yourselves up as stupid know-fvckall tossers.

RJJ is long in the tooth and I hoped for a longer fight with Green taking him down the stretch (which I believed was unlikely), as that would have been a more substantial win than catching him cold-****ed. Not a great way to finish a career...in someone elses backyard, but props to him making the trip over and man...the buzz in this town today was amazing. Green was respectful, and I know he wouldn't put stock in himself winning over a prime RJJ. Thanks for commenting.

I was disappointed that it ended in the first also. I wanted to see what Roy had left. Gee it would've been nice to see him throw 6 or 7 consecutive left hooks or some other wild combo. Now it looks as though we've seen the last of him.

I think that if it had gone past the 3rd or 4th round Roy may've been able to suss out Green's punches and begin to counter. The bad thing with 1st round KO's is that it's too short a time for the rhythm of the fight to settle. You just don't know what would have or could have happened.

Roy still had some good hand speed left, but it was his is upper body movement which isn't as fast anymore.

It becomes harder for fighters to avoid punchers and move around the ring they way they used to.

Green deserves credit. Roy looked OK vs Lacy (not in his prime anymore but still good) and Green caught him cold and finished him

However, Roy is not the same fighter, and 10 years ago that punch wouldn't even have hit Roy, and it probably wouldn't have dropped him either, his chin has deteriorated due to the KO losses before Green.

But still, Green was the underdog, he came through and won

We don't choose our favourite fighters based on Nationality... we all support our Aussie fighters and want them to do good, but they have to earn our support by taking the risks and testing themself on the world stage..

I was at my uncles house for the fight and he had a **** load of people over.. None of them were boxing fans just "Danny Green" fans.. When i told them i was going for Roy they all acted like i was some kind of traitor... but i'm a boxing fan not just an "aussie" boxing fan.. i actually had 3 people come up to me and ask "does that mean Danny Green is the best in the world now?"

Iv grown up and watched Roy's fights way before i even knew who Danny Green was.. I still don't think Danny Green can handle the top guys in the world..
