For me it has to be... Lennox Lewis Flattening Hasim Rahman in their rematch! I remember jumping up and down in excitment with my old man!

Especially after Rahman was shouting obsenities at the pre-fight press conference, and Lewis walked out.

What a way to get your belts back!

I have two moments:
1. When I landed my first straight right hand
2. When I landed my first counter left hook.

Id have to say seeing Gatti live in Boardwalk Hall winning the vacan WBC title and than being feet awat from Thunder when was walking back to the drssing room w/ his new title. Next his KO's of Dorin, and Leija were prettty awesome live too come in a close 2nd. To me nothing beats the atmosphere of a live boxing event.

On TV the last fight I was most impressed w/ was John Duddy KOing Pierre in the first round on March 18th.

Right on, that was one of my 1st boxing memories as a kid....

The fight that got me interested in boxing was Bowe-Holyfield 2, great fight with ebbs and flows and the FanMan....

The fight that got me a big fan was Moorer-Foreman, as a south-paw i rooted for Moorer, and I kinda thought the fight was a mismatch, then in the 10th round, George pulls off the impossible....maybe the most amazing thing I've ever witnessed in sports....

The fights that got me hooked & made boxing my favorite sport were the 1st 2 Boxing After Dark shows, I had watched Barrera on Fight Night at the Forum for years, and watching him in a thrilla on HBO vs. a respected fighter like McKinney was the illest fight that B.A.D. could ever have (Tapia on the undercard too)....then Gatti-Rodriguez, need I say more....

attending Holyfield-Tyson 2, Lewis-Klitschko, Tua-Ibeabuchi, Mayorga-Forrest 2, and Barrera-Morales 2, were fun too :)

although I am not a big fan of his, I did thoroughly enjoy DLH shutting Vargas the **** up.

My best boxing moment was the first time that I fought at The Palace of Auburn Hills. It was an amatuer show featuring Team Michigan vs. Team Sugar Ray Leonard. A few months before the bouts Jackie Kallen had taken me down to Detroit where Sugar Ray Leonard was recieving an award or something and she introduced me to him and such.

I was in my senior year of highschool at the time and had a bunch of buddys as well as my art teacher and a bunch of kids from the class in the crowd cheering me on.

I was 16 at the time and I was matched to fight a guy that was 23 I believe. It was really neat experiencing the palace for the first time as a fighter. Micheal Buffer announced our names and such and we started throwing. There were alot of people in the arena, yelling and screaming and carrying on. It was really fun.

The next week the fights were broadcast on C.N.N Sports as well as a local cable company called pass. I won the fight by decision but it was a close fight. They actually announced my victory over the PA at school where my history teacher stood from his seat and clapped for me, the other kids were sort of amazed that the quiet kid was actually a fighter. That was one of my best memories from boxing.........Rockin' :boxing:

Here are mine.
Zoo/Judah

Zoo/ Pedro Sanchez - this was only the 2nd fight I had been to, and I had a great view. I was there with my dad, and 3 friends. It was only 2-3 weeks aften I had broken my jaw playing football, and I had to be careful 'cause I was jumping so much!

Zoo/ Mitchell 2 - Special fight for me, because my dad was in hospital having chemotherapy - I phoned him up between rounds 2 & 3 & then when it was over. He was very excited, as was I ...!

Personally, for me it was in Feb when I flew down to vegas for my 1st big fight in seeing Pacquiao vs Morales live.

I met countless amounts of fighters and fight related people from JC Chavez to Roy Jones, Eric Morales, Miguel Cotto, Winky Wright, Jeff Lacey. Too many to name.

The fight was great and just hanging out there for the few days before was a great experience.

Being from Atlanta, I've always been a Holyfield fan. Getting tickets for his WBA championship fight at the GA Dome and going wiht my dad and brother was my coolest boxing moment. They had the place configured to hold 40000 or so people and it was sold out. THe place went crazy when he came out ....the energy was more intense tnan anything i felt before anywhere. This was 98 so he still had some of his old skill.

In no particular order...just off the top of my head, focusing on the semi-recent...

-Foreman's KO of Moorer. Love him or hate him, Foreman got alot of criticism for his comeback, ate alot of ****, took alot of punishment to get to the point of landing that right hand. Phenomenal.

-Tarver's pre-fight "What's your excuse tonight.." and then KOing Jones 2 rounds later. They'll be talking about that for years. Johnson stole his thunder a little, but it was a great moment nonetheless.

-Chavez's right hand that dropped Taylor, and all the drama afterward. Great moment, one of the best comebacks in boxing. The sound in the arena is deafening when Taylor falls. Get goosebumps watching it.

-Ward's left that stopped Sanchez just after Merchant had said the fight should be stopped for like the 10th time (meaning stopped and awarded to Sanchez who was dominating). Roy and Lampley were still following the fight, and Roy had noted Ward's previous body shot. Merchant was on his 5th Bloody Mary and was just lashing Ward nonstop for his poor performance and had stopped even paying attention to the fight and commenting on it. I love seeing Merchant made to look a fool when he's so smug and nonchalent about dissing fighters.

-Gatti's KO of Rodriguez, another dramatic moment- if he doesn't do it in that round, the fight is probably stopped bc he can't see from his right eye. Of course, Gatti has several of these moments, but this is the best moment and most dramatic. It was do or die that round- the Dr was barely letting him go out for that round.

-DLH's KO of Vargas. I've always disliked Vargas, and seeing Vargas helpless on the ropes was just pure bliss. Great boxing moment when the smaller, more skilled, classier fighter takes out the thugged out, roided out, wannabe, ****-talker.

....a million more.
