What is a word that means to hint at something? I'm not looking for alluding, either. I'm looking for another word, but I can't think of it. I tried thesaurus.com and they didn't have the word alluding at all.

Never hint at anything. Say what you mean and say it so people can understand it and they will appreciate it.

"suggest" might work. I don't mean as in "a suggestion"..I mean as in "what are you trying to suggest?"
