wow. 50 has fallen off popularity wise. Those are good numbers for any other rapper, but 50 is suppose to be in the wayne, eminem, jay-z, TI bracket of stardom.

for the record i baught the album and i like it. I think 50 did his thing. I just think the general public has grown tired of his style.

It doesn't even matter man.. He's still paid. I'm sure he couldn't give a damn about how much he sells anymore.

I don't really think this proves a thing. Most people download music for free these days. ****, I can't even remember the last time I actually bought a CD. It was well over a year ago, I know that and it was a CD that I couldn't find anywhere to download. :lol1: I think this just proves that people are slowly figuring out that you don't have to pay for music anymore.

From 600k to 160 is a big drop. Serves him right for alienating his fans with that Curtis bull****.

I feel like it's a good thing for hip hop in the long run because 50 was the one that started this 1st week bull****. Sales are important, but he tried to make it so gimmicks and sales are more important than skills and lyrical content. Something that should never be the case.

Sales are important when your a rapper like 50 cent and take jabs at the other top people in the industry such as Jay, Wayne, Kanye, TI, Em (commercial part of the industry). If Im not mistaken he did the same as Rick Ross did after they went at it. I also didn't think the album was awful, it had some bright spots and I still run through it when Im playin Modern Warfare 2 but I think its safe to say officially now that commercially Lil Wayne is the ultimate top guy.

Jay Z > Lil Wayne.... True Story

Wayne needs to get rid of that auto tune bull****.. Sounds TERRIBLE.

Part of it could be fallout from people actually paying for that steaming turd of an album Curtis and not wanting to get burned twice.

I thought this album sucked too though.

Massacre and Get Rich were 50's prime. hes still nice though.

that's because he didnt lead off with a catchy club song, and guess what? it worked out better, quality-of-music-wise. This new album is FAR superior to The Massacre and Curtis. Far ****ing superior.

50 doesn't need to put out a greatest hits cd. all his greatest hits were on GRODT and The massacre and everyone alread hs those.

I'm suprised he sold 160k I thought he would sell atleast 250k first week. The album is still decent even though the sales are very low.

I think it is a good thing 50 sold only that many though, it might of just lit a fire under 50's arse and maybe he will come back stronger.....maybe his attitute will change and the old 50 attitude comes out.

noone's recession proof lol, nah but 160k is terrible. I was expecting 400k which is considerably less than curtis sold first week. Did the 160k include itunes sales? oh well, like others said it might get him hungry and turn out positive

Mix that together with people downloading it and you got your answer.

Why would you say something like that? I know you are joking right? Regardless if you don't like an artist or not you don't have call someone a dumbass for liking or buying a certain artists album.

I didn't buy the album for the record. But still.

I didn't think Curtis was that bad to be honest. I expected him to sell low but this is a lot lower than expected.

It doesn't matter because he has a **** load of money. But it goes to show people not feelin Fif anymore.

Everyone has their 15 minutes of fame. Eventually people will get tired of Wayne and his craze will die down. It happens to every artist most of the time.
