If Taylor can keep firing the jab and righthand under Lacy's pressure and keep Lacy on the outside he wins a decision. Then again Taylor has problems with pressure fighters and Lacy can definitely outwork Taylor while checking his chin. This would be a very interesting fight. The jab gives Lacy problems and pressure gives Taylor problems. It would come down to those two things. Whoever can overcome those obstacles wins in my opinion.

taylor UD unless he gets to aggressive

I would say Lacy by brutal KO based on his activity & level of opposition. I don't think Taylor has the power to keep Lacy off him. The jab might hold him at bay for a few rounds but I think Lacy would get to him based on his conditioning & power. We all don't know just how good Taylor's chin is because it's never been tested where Lacy's has been tested his last few fights.

but taylor is quick he can "run" from lacy with the jab helping him

I reckon they should concentrate on being the best in their OWN division's 1st before fighting each other.

He could, but if he backs straight up like he's been doing, he'll get caught with one of Lacy's over-hand rights.

neither of them will be the best in their divisions. I mean Lacy arguably is right now, but Taylor's got Trinidad, Vargas, Wright, Ouma to worry about. And the chin checkers would both give Lacy hell right now. Codrington could upset Lacy now I think.

Taylor beats Lacy rather one-sidedly I think actually. He'd knock him out in a 12 rounder. 9th or 10th when Lacy would be completely out of steam.

Lacy Is "arguably" the best super-middleweight out there?

LOL!... :usa2: A little bit of an insuler comment don't you think?

Well its between him and Calzaghe. I'd pick Lacy to win, but wouldn't be surprised if Calzaghe won. I'm not being patriotic if that's what you're implying. Couldn't care less if Lacy were from Planet Zero. Neither him nor Calzaghe are really all that good. They're just in a ****ty division.

Calzaghe won the WBO super-middleweight belt in 1997 and has defended it 16 times since... He's 38-0 (30KO's).

I was just joking that there's nothing "arguable" about it.

Lacy may have just won the IBF belt, but he's not at Calzaghe's level yet.

I wasn't doing a weird patriotic thing, I apoligise... It just seems to me nowaday's people think that because there's an American in a particular division, he's automatically the best? ;)

CAl***gie us a *****, how come all european boxers are afraid to come over to the US to prove they are the best, Lacy said he would even go over there to fight, Joe is shaking in his boots, he got dropped by the last guy he fought which was a bum, lacy will destroy him. Same thing with Darius Mcalwaski i dont even kno his last name, Roy jones woulda beat the hell outta that bum but he wouldnt come over here to fight,

I wouldn't call it the worst or even a beating. I thought Sturm won but he didn't give Delahoya any kind of beating. An in shape Oscar beats Sturm in my opinion.

Jermain wins a one-sided beat down by late TKO or KO. Lacy's just too easy to hit. Jermain has great handspeed, and I've never seen him run out of gas, which is the only reason Lacy beat Sheika. DLH got controlled for the vast majotiy of that fight by the way, that's the only time I've ever seen that happen to him.

I'd have to go with Jermain. He's more rounded than Taylor plus Lacy has had some OK showing against guys that he should be destroying if he ever wants to be great.

i predict 168 is about to be blown wide open by a certain danish guy by the name of kessler, who will be willing to travel to the US and anywhere it takes to unify *prediction*

have you ever actually seen lacy fight? he gets stronger as the rounds go on, his stamina is excellent, no chance of running out of steam, he throws more punches in the 10th round then he does in the first. lacy would kill tht amateur you speak of

Lacy would fight anyone at anytime. He has to be one of the busiest champions in years. He wouldn't duck anyone, especially in his own division.

Actually Lacy himself said that he was offered a fight with Kessler for later this year, and he said he wasn't ready for a tough fight like that yet, so he declined. He said he'd be ready maybe next year or 2007, and I respect his honesty as I agree with him.

Quick accurate strong punchers Like Taylor nearly always beat less skilled bangers like Lacy, barring their chin is not made of fine glass, and they are prepared to take a few punches for a few rounds. Germaine Taylor by stoppage in later rounds.
