View Full Version : Kasim Ouma vs. Jermaine Taylor? Knicksman20 04-12-2005, 04:12 PM Who would win this fight because it's going to happen sooner or later & why would they win? jack_the_rippuh 04-12-2005, 04:15 PM Taylor TKOs him in 6. Too big, too strong, too young, too hungry, too fast, too gay, too ugly....shall I go on? RwK 04-12-2005, 04:15 PM Ouma. Taylor could not possibly hurt him with any punch. Ouma is far too fast, and would overwhelm Taylor with punches. Taylor would try and neutralize his quickness with the jab, and that would not cut it. Kassim is better in every department, other than power, and would crowd Taylor from the opening bell. Standing toe to toe, and making the lanky athlete miss dearly. The difference in boxing skills would be evident. Ouma by Dec or late TKO. masterdirector 04-12-2005, 04:17 PM I think it'd be more competitve than runwknives, but I'd be going for Ouma and I think he'd win. Not very worried about Taylor's one-punch power at all. Ouma definitely seems to be the better boxer. Damn, that's a good future match up. I look forward to that. RwK 04-12-2005, 04:29 PM Ouma's counterpunching ability flies under the radar because of his lack of power. He is one of the better inside fighters in boxing, and has an uncanny ability to come underneath the jab and right hand, which would be Taylor's claim to fame in this fight. Agression is key, and I think Ouma would be the agressor believe it or not. Head movement, lateral movement + uppercutts are his weapons of choice. Zab Super Judah 04-12-2005, 04:44 PM it would be a interesting fight.......taylor is naturally bigger and could possibly a future light heavyweight...but oumas punch output could beat alot of fighters not sure on this one Bad Intentions 04-12-2005, 05:02 PM it would be cool to see if Taylor could keep up with Oumas fast pace. But still I think Taylor is Too strong for Ouma, Ouma is at 154 now i dont see Taylor being 160 much longer, I think Taylor would be a beast at 168, A fight with Taylor and Lacy would be more entertaining IMO. masterdirector 04-12-2005, 05:17 PM Taylor is a fool if he goes up to 168 or 175 and stays there in the next 2 years, cause I'm telling you Codrington is only going to get better and he'll beat the hell out of Jermain Taylor. Stevens, if he actually gets better with his skill, he'd be a serious threat to either Lacy or Taylor. The Chin checkers have potential. mic573 04-12-2005, 05:38 PM Taylor would be stronger and bigger than Ouma but Ouma's style is fought behind pressure and Taylor seems to have problems when he is backed up by pressure fighters. Taylor always seems to back straight back with no head movement when pressured and Ouma would be able to land punches all day. Ouma is faster, has a great chin and his power is severly underrated. He doesn't have one punch power but those shots hurt and wear down his opponents. Ouma outworks Taylor for a decision. AintGottaClue 04-12-2005, 05:45 PM taylor doesnt liek to go backwards and cant fight when he does, he also gets uncomfortable when he gets hit, ouma could present a problem but taylor could outbox him if he is smart. taylors chin is untested so my first pick is taylor UD my second pick is ouma tkoi |
