Their is a time when you have to admit that a man is just to physically stronger and bigger for another despite how great he is.

Before we jump to any conclusions, lets see them both in action. Wlad 2-3 years ago would KILL Toney in the Ring. Right now and until proven otherwise, no one knows who Wladimir Klitschko is... Will he collapse after 4-5 rounds again? Will he go down after a single chin contact? Or will he give us his stellar performance as he once did?

Actually I guess you guys didn't know. This fight allready happened back in the Olympics and James Toney kicked Wlads ass. I have a video tape of it and I will probably upload it sometime next week.

I would love to see this fight, but it would not be competetive Toney has even a better chin than Lamon Brewster, and is the best defensive fighter on the planet. Nothing Wlad has would be able to stop Toney. Wlad would get Tired, start throwing lazy punches Toney would start countering hard and knock Wlad out. But it would be extremely entetaining to see the former middleweight James Toney knock out the giant Robot Wladimir Klistchko. This fight might happen, because Toney knows he can beat Wlad, Wlad is a big name, and Wlad would take the fight because it would be a chance to restore his prestige and regain a championship.

Toney is a middleweight. He does not proven himself to have a better chin than Brewster. I mean Jorge Castro has an iron chin, probably better than Toney's, but you can't imagine him going up against Wlad without getting stopped. At some point a fighter is limited by the size of his frame and Wlad hits like a mack truck.

A small, tubby, blown up middleweight who relies on his boxing skill and counterpunching such as Toney, is not near agressive enough to beat Wladimir. A poster earlier described how "If Toney could take some punishment for a while, survive, then turn up the heat, he may have a chance". This is the only shot he would have. Toney is too slow, to avoid a single punch of Wlad's as well as easy as hell to hit. Jirov showed this by tagging him repeatedly on the inside of their fight. With the added weight, Toney's ring generalship has gone completely down the tube. Even If Toney was the same size as Wlad, I would still pick him to get stopped or beat beyond recognition by the big athlete. Landing clean punches would be a NON factor. Wlad could hurt Toney by punching his gloves. The minute he lands a jab on James, and he tastes that power, he will go to the ropes....and pull that opossum bull****. Would look exactly like Wlad/Mercer where one man gets obliterated.

For one, people need to get off Toney's balls. There is nothing special about him as a heavyweight. He does not hit hard at this weight, he does not have the size, and all he basically has, is his mouth to sell fights.

Toney is way above his natural fighting weight, he's injury prone (probably because of the weight) and we're talking about his chances of KOing or at least beating Wlad, who has every physical advantage as well as youth on Toney. Toney, from what I've seen, likes to counter on the inside, which requires a cooperative opponent to stay close to him. How is he going to walk Wlad down, as hard as his jab is, get on the inside, and then what? KO Wlad when he couldn't KO Jirov, even with multiple punches landed right on the chin? And even if he does make Wlad miss with the Jab early, he's going to tire badly just like in the Booker fight, he's going to slow down, and start getting hit, etc.

Yeah, since the Brewster fight, Wlad's stamina has become a big question mark, maybe Toney could run him out of gas, you never know lol
