preferably from titleboxing.com.

i am getting ready to buy a new heavy bag from titleboxing and am looking to use the opportunity to get me some new gloves. I was looking at a few pairs..

any recommendations? and usually how heavy are those bag gloves if they dont say how many ounces...either way, should i be looking at 14oz or 16oz?

i cant afford the $150+ title platinum or $200 dollar everlast ones btw...

thanks for any advice. :boxing:

If it has to be Title than I'd go with the Gel's. Good padding for knuckle support, material holds up nicely. Allows you to make a decent fist. The hook and loop closure is good for wrist support you just have to be carful since the loops are made of a hard plastic, if you pull it to tight they can potentially snap. Out of all the Title Brand bag gloves these are the best ones I've tried.

there are many gloves to choose from, you do not have to buy the most expensive to get good usage, you have to wrap your hands properly, and throw even thought out punches whether in single form or in combo form:drillserg

Yup get the gels, 14oz great for the bag. Nice fit and have some weight to them so you get a good work out.

I have these as well. After 2 months, they're getting kinda warped, and my knuckles hurt a bit the next day.

itle gloves arent the greatest but they are very affordable. The guy wants something from Title and those are top of the line when it comes to Title.

I'd recommend these gloves over the gels by a fair margin. I used to use the gels but didn't like them the padding started to travel and they became uncomfortable to wear after 4-5 months. I grabbed a pair of the Rivals gloves shown in the link about 3 months ago and they are the most comfortable bag gloves I have worn, I would highly recommend them.

thanks for the advice fellas..

the everlast Protex2 bag gloves are better in my opinion than both the titles and the rival elite bag gloves (dunno about the ultra, but the elite are supposed to be better)

i just bought the 12oz protex3 training gloves for $100 (50% off on title) and wow... my 16oz winning gloves have taken a huge rest this last week and a half

jus thought i should let yall know..

i got the title gel bag gloves the other day and i must say, these are absolutely great. i have smaller hands(135lbs), and got it in size Medium, and they seem to fit right and i can tell once i break them in, ill be able to make that "perfect fist". great protection, almost feel like i could work on my new 150pound bag without wraps on, but ofcourse i wrap my hands anyway...

the only thing is, the position of the thumb being attached to the rest of the hand makes it hard to wrap the velcro tight around my wrist with the other glove already on one hand.

i would give these gloves a consumer rating of 8.5/10 lol

If you want something that's gonna last you a long time, I'd definitely go with Reyes brand. Ringside has good bag gloves as well. Ringside now owns Title by the way.
