I've watched the Pac-Cotto fight 4 times now but I just recently noticed what Freddie told Manny before he went out for the 12th rd... "Manny you're being too nice to him. Please knock him out for me." I think he also motioned Buboy to translate for him so Buboy proceeded to mimic the uppercut that Freddie wanted Manny to employ which was followed by "Patumbahin mo na. Para kay Coach!" I thought it was hilarious that Freddie felt the need to remind Manny to knock Cotto out for him.

Freddie was too confident of a Manny KO pre-fight that maybe he felt that a decision would tarnish his reputation a little bit. I for one wanted Manny to employ a conventional style in rd 12 ala Morales in Pac-Morales 1. :chomp:

I agree. I also believe that Bayless could have stopped it in the 9th and it wouldn't be a questionable decision. The fact that Bayless came into rd 12 just waiting for Pac to land 1 or 2 solid blows before he halts it tells you that it was stopped a round or two too late. What Larry Merchant said about letting Cotto (because of his stature) quit on his own terms, in my eyes, is a bunch of bull.
