Now, I can't claim to have seen all the heavyweight fights over the last five or six years, but here's some that come to mind as being total shut-outs. The question is, which was the most one-sided?

By far the most one sided title fight was Lewis vs Tua. That was the most boring heavyweight title fight I have ever seen.A Ruiz title fight was action packed in comparison.Later brother brologs.

i thought tua- moorer wasnt even close. moorer had no chance, tua got rid of him fast. i waited all week to watch the fight and it was over in like 30 seconds. since that wasnt up there i chose jones-ruiz, jones controlled that fight from the second round on. another jones blow-out was against toney but that was like 10 years ago

Out of the list above i chose Lennox-Tyson. I think most people were shocked how one sided that contest was. A fight from the past would be Muhammed Ali Vs Larry Holmes, that was a awful fight that should NEVER have happened.

Probably at Struggle for Supremacy when Rahman fought Meehan, that was definetely ONE of the most one-sided fights of this era. But then again, I haven't seen all the ones listed.

In order to discuss one-sided fights, we must return to the days of 15-rounders. Why? Because there was always a chance that a guy would stand-in-there for 15-rounds of ass-whoopin'.

Case in point, I give you Larry Holmes versus "Tex" Cobb.

Remember, this was 1982 so at least half the world was coked-out and anything could happen. What happened was a cowboy with very little skills and athletic ability was given the Rocky Balboa opportunity to take on a Prime Larry Holmes.

In the weeks leading up to the fight, ABC's Wide World of Sports interviewed Cobb "training" in a Texas tavern. He was hoisting 20oz beers with a lady on his knee, just 7 days before the fight, really. He started his gym work 4 days before the fight and sparred for 2 of those days.

What happened to Tex was obscene, but in a beautiful almost poetic way. The only thing we've had recently that compares is the face-smashing that Vitali Klitchko gave Corrie Sanders. But, Vitali is not, and will never be, compared to a Prime Holmes.

Cobb took 15 rounds of face-smashing while only tagging Holmes with one decent shot, only because Holmes was falling asleep for a little while in the late rounds. Cobb truly must have had a cement-lined head.

Cobb later said (once he could speak again) that he could have beat Holmes if the fight went another 5 rounds, Because Holmes would have gotten tired of beating on him.

It was truly THE Most One-Sided Heavyweight Fight of all time.

Page-Monroe,since two good fighters were involved and the more talented fighter ended up dominating for five rounds, causing a stoppage before the sixth round.

its a tough question because in my mind a early knockout should not qulify, I was shocked when Lennox ko Ruddock so quickly and easily but the fight was to early to call it one sided although thats what it was...I think of a big time fight that goes for a while and one guy is completely embaraased and outclassed. Certainly Tyson/Lewis falls into that catogory but I like Holyfiled v. Moorer 2, Moorer never had a prayer and was brutalized for the entire fight, it made you wonder how the hell he beat Holyfield in the first place.

Tyson Lewis was very one sided and probably surprised most.
