Have you been following U.S. golf lately? If you were, here's the latest... Tiger Woods has done it again. Ahead by just a stroke in the 16th hole and it was his 3rd shot, he putted what could be in the world of golf, a miracle shot, and in a very dramatic fashion.

Fast-forward to the 18th hole, he made an error on his 2nd shot and found himself in trouble because his golf ball landed in a bunker. That could have been a good break for DiMarco, who incidentally is playing awesome himself. But Tiger Woods wouldn't give in to the pressure, it seemed he played better under it and got used to it everytime, made a wonderful 3rd shot and bogeyed.

You don't have to learn how to play golf to appreciate Tiger Woods, me, i don't know how to play golf (because obviously i can't afford to). But I think Tiger is great and made golf look so damn easy and that's why everybody likes him.

Dont get me wrong I have nothing against Woods, but I think he gets more credit than he deserves sometimes.

I mean, in his slump, he might have been struggling way down the ranks but you'd still see highlights and him being mentioned on every sports show no matter where he was in the standings.

In the last two years, Vijay Singh has completely dominated golf, but if you asked Joe Bloe he'd probably just say 'Tiger Woods' out of ignorance.

I guess its just a popularity contest. Either way, props to Woods for the win.

he built a very good reputation so the hype is there for him... round three of the masters was vintage tiger woods... he dominated that round... the last round was a good performance but all-in-all it was not what was expected from him... bogeys in the last two holes... he was lucky he got that incredible shot at the 16th hole... damn tiger... dimarco was quite unlucky, the shot at the 18th before woods bogeyed shjould have won him the green jacket...

i guess, golf is a game of breaks, same as in billiards. these professional players have all the capabilities to win but it's the breaks that could make the difference in the close rounds. like tiger did. he made an error in the 17th and found his ball in the sand, look how he recovered and bogeyed it. that's what make tiger woods tiger woods. he may have all these media hypes around him, but he certainly deserves the credit because he is a very good golf player. golf has gotten so popular now worldwide because of tiger. this may be an overstatement coming from me, but in my case, i had the interest of watching a golf game on tv because of tiger woods.

in the summary of their golf careers, count their winnings and not just winnings, major titles. tiger has 8 major titles in just a span of 7 years. im not so sure of vijay, how many major titles has he won? and how many years had he spent in the league as a professional? and then compare it to woods? if vijay had the edge in the no. of winning majors, then probably tiger didn't deserve all the credits he is now enjoying.

Not much of a slump. But this year the best player by far has been Phil Mickelson closely followed by Tiger. Tiger has the bottle and mentality which brings him through in a lot of his major wins.
