You got some nice speed for such a heavy guy. puppy_dogg 04-10-2005, 08:51 AM yeah, pretty quick that bruce lee poster kick's ass Tha Greatest 04-10-2005, 01:22 PM How come I cant see it??? itsbusdriver 04-10-2005, 01:27 PM yup.. lots of hand speed... and that bruce lee poster does kick ass... random guy 04-10-2005, 01:35 PM because thw window pops up and it has to let realplayer load, the video isnt on the pop-up window boxer2k5 04-10-2005, 02:18 PM play it in windows media player i always punch short when i shadow box sometimes i fully extend and hurt my elbow and shoulders its not hitting anythign and it hurts zip 04-10-2005, 04:18 PM could be that you arent warming up good enough. lift your shoulder and circle it forward 10 times and then 10 times backward so they get soft. blockburna944 04-10-2005, 04:41 PM From what i've been told, youre not supposed to fully extend any punches when doing that kind of shadow boxing because it will lead to shoulder problems. its more for endurance and footwork/body movement technique. i cant tell the footwork from the clip, but the body movement looks pretty good. how long are you able to keep that pace up for? Tha Greatest 04-10-2005, 04:43 PM Damn bro u got some good hand speed for ur size u can't extend the arms all the way, it hurts like a *****, but u wanna extend as much as u can without goin all the way random guy 04-10-2005, 04:50 PM dont extend your arm 100% because then it gets hyperextended Tha Greatest 04-10-2005, 05:03 PM dont extend your arm 100% because then it gets hyperextended exactly, 95% maximum, but everyone has different styles... Mr.Talent 04-10-2005, 05:21 PM nice hand speed boxer2k5 04-10-2005, 10:56 PM From what i've been told, youre not supposed to fully extend any punches when doing that kind of shadow boxing because it will lead to shoulder problems. its more for endurance and footwork/body movement technique. i cant tell the footwork from the clip, but the body movement looks pretty good. how long are you able to keep that pace up for? a fast pace liek that 20 mins a slower but good pace liek 30+ if i have breaks i can do the fast pace for a while jsut pushing myself and i have to have good footwork or i would have been off balance most of the time and yeah i dont fully extend on shadow boxing because i dont want to hyper extend my elbows and shoudlers boxer2k5 04-10-2005, 10:56 PM my size im 5'11 180-185 boxerman 04-11-2005, 12:18 AM i think everyone that fights should put up a clip of them shadowboxing or fighting or something. would be cool. people could critique their technique. could lead to some interesting pointers. just a thought. I know thats easier said than done though and it probably isnt a practical idea. boxer2k5 04-11-2005, 12:27 AM they barely have any pics http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v126/JRZ2K4/Picture1.jpg Kid Achilles 04-11-2005, 01:59 AM Looks good. Very quick for a 185 lber. If you can really keep that pace up for twenty minutes nonstop, then you have some good endurance as well. Speedy Gonzales 04-12-2005, 12:59 AM Not dissing boxer2k5, but the video seems to be taken from a webcam, in which case anyone both fast or slow would seem fast. Until we see him in real life, we still have no idea how fast he is. Boxer2k5, was it a webcam? Because a regular camcorder would give us a more accurate picture of your movement, since webcams are blurry. Also, we don't know if any of those were "good" punches or just movement. Boxer2k5, when you shadowbox, do you "punch" or just move it out? P.S. Which one do you guys think is better for shadowboxing? Speedy Gonzales 04-12-2005, 01:02 AM dont extend your arm 100% because then it gets hyperextended Ya, depending on how far "locking out" your elbow is, don't go too far or you will hyperextend your elbow. This is a killer if you hyperextend and then the bag swings back to hit your already hyperextended arm(ouch). Journeyman 04-12-2005, 02:53 AM good handspeed. keep up the good work. triggerhappy 04-12-2005, 07:21 AM you are very sloppy if you fight the same way in the ring i can knock you out fast. TheFlyingMan 04-12-2005, 07:39 AM that handspeed is awesome! maybe the blurry thing makes it seem more impressive though. czars_salad 04-12-2005, 07:52 AM you are very sloppy if you fight the same way in the ring i can knock you out fast. that's the funniest signature i've seen :D Tha Greatest 04-12-2005, 03:56 PM you are very sloppy if you fight the same way in the ring i can knock you out fast. hahahaha all internet talk, anybody can say they can knock out anybody but that don't mean anything HEY...I CAN KNOCK OUT MARVELOUS MARVIN HAGLER WITH A JAB!!!!! boxer2k5 04-12-2005, 04:02 PM yeah its on my webcam but ive seen myself played back on a camcorder and its no difference jsut not as much blur and its the same speed when lookign in the mirrors at the gym im shadowboxing with wraps on my hands fly im used to hitting heavybag with 16ounce gloves 33 punches a round fro 5 rounds im used to sparrign with 16 ounce glvoes im used to throing hundreds of jabs for numerous rounds with 3 pound weights so punchign without commiting to it and no weights i can punch real fast i will buy a camcorder soon and i will most def be psoting everything i can from training to sparrign to fights and if im sloppy thats cool havent seen you post anything pics vids?? akins12732 04-12-2005, 06:01 PM fo sheez 2k5 and can i see your workout if its not too much trouble? |
