View Full Version : What about George Foreman's sayings?
Exciterx24 04-08-2005, 05:36 PM I saw the ones by Lampley but what about some of those stupid and funny Foreman lines? Here are a couple, feel free to add.
"Dlh's shoulders are wide, massive"
He said that in the Trinidad-DLH fight, Trinidad was a bit intimidated because DLH had wide shoulders. What a bull**** comment.
"Trinidad continues to come"
Well. I thought this was funny because it sounded like he was talking about cum instead of come. This was in the fight against Hopkins.

 Lol!
"Trinidad is on the mark.."
joeboxer 04-08-2005, 05:50 PM "Imagine that. A woman giving advice on boxing."
During the Tito vs Vargas fight, when Vargas manager asked him to stay in his corner and take his full five min after a vicious nut shot from tito.

Very sexist comment. That's why Lampley said that Kathy knew the sport as well as anybody.
AintGottaClue 04-08-2005, 06:10 PM Klitschko can get ya liek bob gibson( i think thats who he said) coming off that bound with a stight right hand.
Slipx 04-08-2005, 06:24 PM Myself, I busted out laughing right before Wlad's first knockdown in the Sanders fight, when Wlad was getting backed up, like 2 seconds before he caught that brutal inside left hook, Klischko looked highly uncoordinated and like he just couldn't control Sanders, sanders landed a 3 punch drive-you-back combo and wlad's hair was flopping all over the place, and George goes:
"Prollem wid Klishko is he's got his KNEES BENTT."
Slipx 04-08-2005, 06:27 PM the only women ive ever heard really talk correctly about boxing is lucia rijker, (i think that's her name) and christy martin. and even then, they really weren't as on-point as guys like foreman, tyson, jones, toney, etc in their analysis of a fight. This is why there aren't women commentators. men just know the game better. it isn't sexist. sexist is saying 'women were put on earth to clean and cook and have babies', thats sexist...not saying some **** about how they judge a fight.

Well whatever the reason, DeLaHoya WAS backing Tito up in the at one point in the first round without throwing a punch. So the statement wasn't as stupid as it sounded. For some reason he was giving DLH too much respect too early, him being the puncher. Could have been teh amgnitude of the fight or lol could have been the shoulders. Someone ask Tito.
Exciterx24 04-08-2005, 06:33 PM Shoulders? I can't believe you actually think that Foreman's comment made sense. After DLH, Trinidad faced guys who looked like physical freaks that made DLH look like a bantamweight. What about Reid, Thiam, and Joppy?

All of them he faced after DelaHoya. BUT LIKE I SAID, WHO KNOWS. I never confirmed it. But it did make sense. Think about it. If your Tito knocking everyone the **** out, then you face the golden boy, who doesn't look that intimidating so you don't think of it. All of the sudden he's in front of you and he's wider than you thought. No **** you'll be hesitant.
BrooklynBomber 04-08-2005, 10:56 PM After DLH fight Tito always had cement in his hand wraps so he was not scared of nobody :D :D :D

BrooklynBomber 04-08-2005, 11:06 PM Are you kidding. I am his fan, you know. I even spent my hard earned money to buy tickets to his comeback against Mayo.
And that little post was just to loosen some tension that you guys had in between.
BTW, i dont believe in handwraps theory.

Lol, that was when Tito started shuffling his feet in the middle of the fight, I think. I remember when I first saw that, I was like, "dog, your gettin beat up, what are dancing for????"

 Same **** I said..that's like doing a touchdown victory dance while you're 42-14.
The Troll 04-09-2005, 01:50 AM I like during the Golota vs Grant fight, Golota hit Grant below the belt and the ref warned Golota or took a point away or something and foreman goes "The referee is unjust" But Grant was holding all through that fight and the ref did nothing against it so he was f***ing injust, plus Grant was wearing his usual high cup.
