I saw little skit on the discovery channel that was about the chances for ET to exsist, it was pretty interesting. I always believed that there is other advanced life out there, but this makes me almost positive.

Apparently, when a star turns to a "red giant"(one of the later, hotter stages of the star), the area around the sun that has the right temp. for water to flow changes.(goes further out) So frozen planets in the solar system could melt, water would flow and life would exsist. In our solar system alone we have found planets with frozen ice on them(mars). Isn't that ****ing interesting. I bet there are thousands of other civilizations in our Galaxy alone. We have like 200,000,000,000 stars in the milky way alone. I hope that was simpled down enough for everyone to understand.

Being in the OT, I would like this opportunity tell all the christian fanatics out there to **** off! Your gonna sit here in front of me and tell me we're the only ones? **** YOU. The earth is only 35,000 years old? WHAT? Wake the **** up!

In my Astonomy class my teacher had some formula to help guess how many chances there are for life in our solar system alone. You just estimate how many stars are like ours, and then how many of them would have planets(or satelites)etc. I think the number we came up with was 2 million. That's insane and doesn't include the theory I mentioned above.

My guess is that there has been civilizations long before earth could even support life. The numbers are undeniable. That's not to say anythings proven ofcourse. You can however make safe assumptions based on concreat info we do have.

Not all Christians believe that.

I believe that if God could make life here, why not elsewhere?
