Do push-ups affect punching speed in a good way or a bad way? What about two 10 pound dumbbells?
Thanks.
Thanks.

GroundSt.Pound 11-17-2009, 07:57 PM No and No. doomer36 11-18-2009, 06:09 AM Plyometric pushups MAY help with slightly adding more power to your punches, but im not sure about speed. As for 10lb dumbbells - no. 3lb dumbbells will be more than enough if your throwing enough punches in correct form. Spartacus Sully 11-18-2009, 06:20 AM bruce lee would do something like 100 punches with 1 lb 100 with 2 lb 100 with 3 lb 100 with 4 lb 100 with 5 lb 100 with 4 lb 100 with 3 lb 100 with 2 lb 100 with 1 lb and 100 with 0 lb to improve punching speed and power. mrboxer 11-18-2009, 02:32 PM pushups are good they actually help the body to develop the basis from the speed that is already there to a process of newtons and ions which in turn make your regular speed faster not much but yes faster,as for 10 pound dumbells they will enable a weightlifting regiment incorporated into your training program which will help the body react to the weight being used for the process of either strength or fitness at a higher level then when not using the mentioned items:boxing: GroundSt.Pound 11-18-2009, 02:37 PM pushups are good they actually help the body to develop the basis from the speed that is already there to a process of newtons and ions which in turn make your regular speed faster not much but yes faster,as for 10 pound dumbells they will enable a weightlifting regiment incorporated into your training program which will help the body react to the weight being used for the process of either strength or fitness at a higher level then when not using the mentioned items:boxing: Shut the **** Up bernardotelo 11-18-2009, 06:21 PM Shut the **** Up do has he says |
