Do push-ups affect punching speed in a good way or a bad way? What about two 10 pound dumbbells?

Thanks.

Plyometric pushups MAY help with slightly adding more power to your punches, but im not sure about speed.

As for 10lb dumbbells - no. 3lb dumbbells will be more than enough if your throwing enough punches in correct form.

bruce lee would do something like 100 punches with 1 lb 100 with 2 lb 100 with 3 lb 100 with 4 lb 100 with 5 lb 100 with 4 lb 100 with 3 lb 100 with 2 lb 100 with 1 lb and 100 with 0 lb to improve punching speed and power.

pushups are good they actually help the body to develop the basis from the speed that is already there to a process of newtons and ions which in turn make your regular speed faster not much but yes faster,as for 10 pound dumbells they will enable a weightlifting regiment incorporated into your training program which will help the body react to the weight being used for the process of either strength or fitness at a higher level then when not using the mentioned items:boxing:
