Stoppage 11-17-2009, 07:39 AM Tyson probably used it best. More in the '80s than the '90s. Of this generation, I think Wright used it most effectively. Yacube7 11-17-2009, 11:44 AM I would say Floyd Patterson had Dignity Don Flamenco 11-17-2009, 11:46 AM Mike Tyson, Floyd Patterson, Jose Torres, Juan Diaz, Miguel Cotto, Winky Wright, and others Who do you think is the best now, and back then Juan Diaz, Miguel Cotto and Winky Wright doesn't use the peekaboo Czarek 11-17-2009, 12:04 PM never seen cotto with peek-a-boo... and this question is stupid... its tyson who used it at best Shiranui 11-17-2009, 01:46 PM Depends on your definition of peek-a-boo. I've often seen the term equated with the by-the-book orthodox tight, high guard (like Cotto and the majority of modern fighters use), not just the D'Amato version. RightCross94 11-17-2009, 03:23 PM Peek a boo refers to the hands high, bobbing up and down while moving forward style used by guys like Tyson The style of defence Winky uses has a similar hand position, but less headmovement and forward movement. Winky kind of sits back behind his guard. fadan80 11-17-2009, 03:27 PM Is peek-a-boo Abraham's style??? right_hand_lead 11-17-2009, 06:26 PM Ali is the GOAT and he used the peak-a-boo late in his career, so he wins. :boxing: thatjamaicanguy 11-17-2009, 07:21 PM Juan Diaz, Miguel Cotto and Winky Wright doesn't use the peekaboo i didn't really state the question clearly... I agree that Juan Diaz, Cotto, and Wright didn't use the D'Amato peek-a-boo but their styles involve head movement (Diaz) and a high guard (Wright) It's kind of a subjective question really Eric Holder 11-17-2009, 08:35 PM probably Floyd Patterson thatjamaicanguy 11-17-2009, 09:49 PM floyd was good. Off topic, but Floyd Mayweather has a pretty awesome shoulder roll Lemmy 11-22-2009, 01:27 PM that shoulder roll is awesome baby |
