Las Vegas, NV (USA) – The Ultimate Fighting Championship®(UFC®) announced today that the bout between former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans and Brazilian knockout artist Thiago Silva will headline UFC 108 as Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira today was forced to pull out of his fight with Cain Velasquez due to a severe injury to his left elbow. UFC 108, which is presented by “Bayonetta” and live on pay-per-view from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, will take place on Saturday, January 2, 2010. he said hes done...but i think he'll be back...dana said he still has a few more fights left in his contract..hey it wouldnt surprise me if this whole thing is just a hoax of some sort..like if they where doing it so just 2 hype it up and plan on doing it sometime in 2010..i mean if i heard the fight was back on i wouldnt miss it...i guess all we can do is just wait and see what happens

Nah it's no hoax. Rampage was fed up with the UFC's bull**** among other things.

Rampage will never be a movie star, like Dana said the thought of him becoming a major success of the "The A-Team" is a joke.

as for this being a headline fight....meh

silva looked like a beast in his fights until machida made him look like a girl.
he destroyed jardine but looked very limited, skills wise.

Good point it would look terrible if Dana just moved the fight back but just by watching Rampage on these shows it's clear that he can be kind of childish when he doesn't get his way...so can Dana and both have bad tempers to top it off.

I think he'll be back sooner or later but for now ill take their word for it.

I wish the Rampage Vs. Rashad fight would've went through.. I wanted to see Rampage kick his @$$.
