This is a really good and really long interview where James talks about everyting including "LIGHTS OUT TV".
jack_the_rippuh 04-04-2005, 10:40 PM .....Wow. James Toney might become popular.
James Toney: I'll fight Tyson anytime, anywhere. I don't turn down nothin' but my collar! So I turn that down since there ain't no one turn down!
LOL. Yeah right. He would die a painful death in the ring.
James Toney: I'll fight anywhere! My goal right now....see, you got a lot of people right now that talk a big game and don't back it up. [Former World heavyweight Champion] Lennox Lewis, everybody down the line. Me, if you know my past, I've always said what I'm gonna do and do what I say. You know what I'm sayin'?
What a retarded, fat, liar. God I hate that loud clown. Who the hell has Lewis ever ducked? WTF? And please. No VK speeches.
jack_the_rippuh 04-04-2005, 10:46 PM Well Lewis did duck Byrd.
joeboxer 04-04-2005, 10:48 PM Lewis refused to fight a third fight with Rhaman or McCall. McCall begged for it, even offered to give the purse to charities in Britain. Lewis still wouldn't do it.
He also avoided Roy Jones Jr. and Chris Bryd. Can't say I blame him, but Lewis was not exactly risky in his fight choices, especially towards the end of his carrear. Even when he was younger he took step aside money from Tyson so that they wouldn't have to fight.
Again I don't blame him, if Tyson wanted to pay me not to fight him I would be pumped! But don't call Lewis courageous.

Hopefully Toney beats Ruiz, and then fights Vitali, so Vitali can kill him.
joeboxer 04-04-2005, 10:53 PM Is it a reality eating show?.............Rockin' :boxing:
hahahahhah
Right. He did. He had his eye on bigger fights:
Grant, Tyson, Klitschko's, Tua etc. Bowe ducked him by throwing his belt in the trash. Tyson ducked him for years, and was still hesitant to fight him when they did. Byrd fight would not offer any money, and would have been an easy, boring win for Lennox. He knocked Rock smooth out, and would do that 9/10 times. Mcall did not deserve a rematch, he landed a lucky punch like Rahman did the first time.
As for Tyson and Toney. Dont get me started. Tyson is way out of this guy's leauge. He is naturally bigger, hits harder, is faster at Heavy...even now, has a better chin(Because he has been hit by real heavyweights, and it took a long time to eliminate him) and has shown plenty of heart. His experience fighting at this divison far exceeds Toney's, and quite frankly....I think Mike would break his will. That whole "Playing Opossum" on the ropes, will not work. Tyson will sniff that **** out and flat out level James. His style of fighting would not be complimentary to the rugged as **** Powerpuncher. I have said alot of bad things about Mike in the past, but I will never discredit him as a fighter for as long as I live. I understand why people think he can still become what he used to be. He is a dangerous man, and these people are playing with some serious ****ing fire.
Williams would have trouble "Walking on Hot Coals" if he were such as to try once more. Toney would incinerate, and burn with the smell of cooked lard in the atmosphere.
joeboxer 04-04-2005, 10:57 PM I would love to see a Tyson vs Toney match. Especially if Toney was a champ. It would get Tyson out of money trouble, and be an intense exciting fight that either fighter could win.
Plus because Toney beat Holyfield, beating Toney would be Tyson's redemtion.
borikua 04-04-2005, 10:57 PM Lights Out TV...lol...
Toney vs Tyson...um I'm going to have to go with Tyson on this one. Not a big fan of Toney's, BUT I would love to see him take the balt away from "The quiet man" ruiz.
joeboxer 04-04-2005, 11:11 PM I wonder if this is allready in the fantasy fights section.
joeboxer 04-06-2005, 04:14 PM I hope that they still run this show even if Toney loses the fight with Ruiz. It would really be interesting to see what he does after the fight. I wonder if he will go right back to the gym or right back to the kitchen???
joeboxer 04-09-2005, 04:52 PM Just an update for you'all. I think that the show could get aired as soon as August.
elveiel 04-09-2005, 05:00 PM Well Lewis did duck Byrd.
I dont normally pay any attention to what Lennox Lewis says but i kinda of agree with his point about Byrd. That fight wouldnt have proved anything, IMO Lewis would beat his ass and who wants to see it??

I think this is exactly how Tyson will be champ again. Then again I'm not 100 % certain Tony will even beat Ruiz.
Slipx 04-09-2005, 05:15 PM oh, toney'll beat ruiz, bet on that
>unless< ruiz finds a way to get hit low and fall down unconscious and win via dq

LOL....U mean Roy Jones ducked Lennox Lewis...
Why would he duck Chris Byrd but not Tyson...
Is it because Chris Byrd punches so hard?? lol
joeboxer 04-09-2005, 05:48 PM Lennox Lewis didn't want to fight Chris Bryd or Roy Jones. He was not scared of their punching power, he was scared of getting embarassed by a smaller boxer.
He learned from Larry Holmes who lost out on breaking Marcinos record because he fought a smaller faster Michael Spinx. Because of Lewis slow style he could have been very vulnerable to losing a decision from Jones. He was never scared of getting hurt by Jones.
