Belfort!

Just wishful thinking. 2 guys that have a chance too take the title are Carwin and Shogun. Truth is Shogun should already have the LHW title. I don't think Dirty Sanchez stands a chance against Penn and GSP has no challengers at the moment...

I have a feeling that Anderson or Gsp will relinquish the title at some point next year in order to move up.

So it will be by default rather than a champion losing.

Only other option is that at some point next year BJ Penn goes back to his old lazy unmotivated ways and gets decisioned by someone like Gray Maynard.

i would love to see belfort ko silva. its possible.
i would also love to see serra drop down to lw and go for a run at the title against penn. that could be a good rematch.
i see shogun beating machida in their next fight even though we all know he should be champ already.
As far as ww, i dont see anyone at this point that has a great shot at beating gsp
and what i really want to see is fedor come to the ufc and smash brock in. this way everyone can shut up about him not being the greatest.

Heavyweight-Brock Lesnar/Shane Carwin if Carwin can't beat Lesnar i think Brock will be on top of the HW division for a loooong time.
LightHeavyweight-after Shogun beats Machida in the Rematch and Thiago Silva beats Rashad i see Silva taking the belt from Shogun late 2010.
Middleweight-Anderson Silva....but i'll be cheering for Belfort to beat him. Silva's Ego has gotten to big over the past few years and im hoping someone will ko him an humble him a bit.
Welterweight-Thiago Alves, i think he learned what he has to work on for GSP and will come back alot better if they meet again.
Lightweight-Diego Sanchez, he's got some explosive takedown ability, endless stamina and great ground and pound i just pray to god he don't try and box with Penn in their fight.

Nog is better than Brock and Carwin.
I don't think Thiago is ready yet.
Nobody in the WW division is on GSP's level.
Deigo is not going to be able to take Penn down. If Sherk couldn't do it, no way Dirty Sanchez can.....

Couture/Herring/Mir were supposed to be better then Lesnar to and look what happend, don't get me wrong Nogeura's awesome and is a threat but i think Carwin/Lesnar will be prepared for him if they ever meet up...first Nog has to get passed Valasquez which will be a great fight and i'll say it right now it will be a Candidate for Fight Of The Year in 2010.
I Think Silva's Aggression will help him win the belt from Shogun, i See him overwhelming Shogun with punches and kicks against the cage.
Correct nobody is on Par with GSP's Wrestling,he's bigger Stronger and Faster then most in the WW division and if he wants to take you down he's more then likely gonna do it.
what i'd like to see from Alves in a rematch is for him to let his hands and feet fly more while their standing up and work alot on his Bjj not so much the submission aspect but more along with the Sweeps and Reversals he proved he's strong enough to do it im quite sure he reversed Gsp once or twice if he works on em more i think he can take position on GSP and pound him out.
Sherk was an Idiot in their last fight, he chose to stand an trade and try and box Penn im sure if he kept on pushing for the Takedown he would have got them. on the other hand i like to compare Diego to GSP rather then Sherk both are explosive with good ground and pound and good sub defense.

Yes i can remember but it simply won't happen. Next time Shogun wins the UD. Even easier.

Dan Hardy
Yes this should be an easy night for GSP, but if Serra can hurt and stop GSP,
theres always a chance that Dan Hardy can too :) hes got power for sure.

cant see sanchez beating penn, belfort beating silva, shogun beating machida
[again] and the heavyweight situation is up in the air at the moment
